@JoshSchertzSLU 15 years from now, Coach. The court is named for you. Multiple banners are in the rafters. People are meeting before games at your statue outside Chaifetz. That’s what you can be at SLU & in St. Louis - an icon. Your stamp. Your mark. Your program. Just have to stay. Hope you do!

@DYTChrisKing @BalusClues @WestPineBills SLU ends season playing Georgia and Michigan. Dayton with Bradley and UNCW (whatever that is). I’d say each program’s ‘25-‘26 body of work ended associated with the proper competition.

A season that started with this tweet resulted in:
- A10 Champs
- Robbie POTY
- Schertz Extension
- A NCAAT win
I'll take it

It’s time for 2025-26 Saint Louis Billikens Men’s Basketball, my friends. Yearly reminder that my tweets (in quantity and quality) are going to get far more insufferable than normal.

Update from all the St. Louis weather stations including @SteveTempleton and @KMOV as they preempt the ENTIRE basketball selection show: It’s raining and windy.
English

@SteveTempleton Get off the damn tv!!! If someone is concerned with the weather, there are other stations.
English

@b_miklasz Great season, but this group is simply incapable of stringing 40 minutes together. Very frustrating.
English

@WestPineBills Yeah. But this team simply cannot put 40 minutes together.
English

@SaintLouisMBB vs @MizzouHoops in the NIT. Should be a good one. Whatever this team had at the beginning of the year is gone. No plan. No discipline. No heart.

@MattBakerSTL @FlyoverFooty @stlCITYsc Totland deserves a lot more time on the pitch than he got last season. I hope Damet takes advantage of his versatility and skill. He can be a real asset to this club.
English

Yoann Damet talked to me on Tuesday about his choice to bring in Tomas Totland at LWB & his answer offered insight into how he views late game subs for @stlCITYsc + what we might expect in some positional choices to be made late in games. #AllForCITY

On 3/7, I look forward to @stlCITYsc celebrating the 4 STL natives who brought home hockey gold and encourage @StLouligans, @fleurdenoise and other groups to wave only American flags behind the north goal all game in support. Make it so @MattSebek.

@AlexiLalas Unabashedly proud to be American!!! Him and us!!! Fantastic interview!!!

@SportWatcherPRO @STLSoccerNews “Supporters” defying new team guidelines at first game. Next time bring the placards that define you properly - “Activists will always push our agenda.”

@madeformarch It’s a shame that the projected field won’t play SLU. Something the NCAA should incentivize to correct for SLU
and teams similar. But, they won’t.
English

Wildly impressive second half from Saint Louis as the Billikens turn a halftime deficit into a runaway late.
That win pushes SLU to 6-2 in the first two quadrants, though they have at best one win v the projected field, depending on how you feel about Santa Clara.
The main goal from here for Josh Schertz & Co should be avoiding the 7-10 seed range at all costs. Winning out until the A-10 Tournament would erase all doubt on that.

@MattBakerSTL @FlyoverFooty Marginalized? Who’s marginalized at a soccer game? Who needs to be recognized? If you have issues out in society, wave your flags there. But, I assure you, if you show up to at Energizer w/o your flags, you’re going to be just fine. Let your straw man go and enjoy the games.
English

ICYMI, and as we discussed a bit on @FlyoverFooty, there will be new guidelines for what is allowed in the North End of Energizer Park this year.
Based on public comments from some SGs, it appears that Pride related flags are still expected to be allowed but among those not allowed: BLM and Trans support banners.
This is the first @stlCITYsc led change in policy seemingly in response to the person ejected last year while wearing a political hat.
Personally, I understand the threat of lawsuits last year probably occurred and the club probably feels they’re erring on the side of caution legally, but I also agree w/the statements of the SGs about the message this sends marginalized fans and those who’ve felt recognized and supported by the club we love.
I also know this is not a league wide policy and that other clubs have various policies which continue to allow some banners/flags that won’t be allowed this year.
While understanding the underlying concern, I really hope the club reverses course here and can better make clear the distinction between political identity and human identity regarding expressions & support in the stadium. #AllForCITY

@StLouligans Heres the truth. Your bad for business. When 3 year contracts on season tickets expired and many not renewed, feedback, in part, was that those of us who make up 95% of ticket sales, don’t wish to be exposed to your activism. Money talks. BLM and Pride flags don’t pay the bills.
English

@SaintLouisMBB @JoshSchertzSLU Coach, where do I get the sweatshirt you’re wearing in this clip?? Can’t
find it anywhere. As a fellow child of the 70’s, you know I looked through the Sears catalog for it. Nothing. Need it to wear to VCU for blue out. Thanks!!

@Holden_Kurwicki @reneknottsports Same. Haven’t watched a game since 2015.
English

@reneknottsports If it wasn’t so cold I’d just go fishing. The NFL lost me when they broke their own rules to move the Rams to LA against the recommendation of their own advisory committee.
English

If you’re in the STL and watching #SuperBowlLX tomorrow, are you doing so from home? Or hitting a sports bar? I’m fishing for recommendations.
