Check out this scam message received by a SYDIT staffer. In this case, it's hard to see what the scammer was seeking, but this type of message can include links to websites designed to steal your info or make claims pressuring you to share your info, so the sender can benefit.

If you get your broadband through Sky or Now, they've announced £3 a month price increases from 1st April. Read about the announcement here: buff.ly/zc1vbyW If you're unhappy with the increase, you've got 30 days from being notified to cancel penalty-free.

@QuicklineUK @Tech_She_Can Tech She Can have been working with schools across SY to raise understanding and aspirations around careers in tech. They particularly aim to develop interest among girls, as women are underrepresented in tech careers, but their classes are offered to all genders.

In addition to their work bringing gigabit-capable broadband to left-behind areas of SY, our Project Gigabit build partner at @QuicklineUK are also doing some fab work in the community. We recently met with them and @Tech_She_Can to hear about work Quickline have been supporting.

Openreach warn that 500k UK businesses haven’t migrated from the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) to IP-based digital (VoIP etc.) alternatives. With 12-months until the service is switched-off, firms risk exposure to price hikes, failing equipment & loss of service.

Our mobile mapping devices have gone back to Doncaster to do a second round of data collection to fill out our understanding of mobile signal availability around Doncaster and the surrounding towns and villages.
