I was going through my old photos, and I found this screenshot of one of my first early calls back in 2022 at Colourful Rebels (always grateful to them for giving me a chance) before I got my big break. Since then, I called over 5k+ projects early, got a lot of Ws and partnerships from them, helped a lot of people and agencies get a lot of opportunities and Ws too. Made life easier for most CMs and others since they can always check my channels for early projects Grateful to God for making it happen, to my friends (and connections) that made it happen and to myself for always showing up and never giving up. Not where I want to be atm but so happy with the journey so far. Thank you Web3

China Just Made “AI Companions” Feel Too Real China’s UBTech has launched U1, a lifelike humanoid robot made for companionship, not chores. It can talk, listen, react to emotions, hold your hand, and slowly learn about its owner over time. The robot is aimed mainly at lonely people, singles, and older adults. UBTech says China has a huge market for this, with millions of elderly people and single adults needing companionship. Prices start around 119,800 yuan and go up to 990,000 yuan for the advanced U1 Ultra model. The company says it already has over 13,000 pre-orders, with deliveries expected from September. The U1 can remind users to take medicine, chat about daily problems, detect stress, and even suggest watching a World Cup match together. But it cannot cook, clean, or offer intimate services for now. China is pushing hard into humanoid robots, accounting for about 85% of global humanoid installations last year. Still, experts warn that real-world robot use is still limited, and issues like privacy, emotional attachment, and the “uncanny valley” remain major concerns. Is this the future of companionship, or are we getting too close to replacing real human connection?
