Every time a new OS X comes out, I hope to see a new feature to make it possible to find out which process is causing WindowServer to go crazy. Every time I am disappointed.

@QuinnyPig @SlackHQ There must be a product owner with a bonus tied to the "app clicks/user/month" KPI, that's the only reason I can think of for this new design.

“Yes, we know the new @SlackHQ is terrible, we’re not going to let you opt out, and we’re forcing this upon our entire paying customer base because we actively hate you” is how this scans.

@mitchellh I hate the "half logged-in" state that some sites do for some reason, where it is an extra click if it remembers you were logged in at some point in the past. What is the point of that? (fidelity.com is one example that comes to mind)

The contemporary web change that upsets me the most is how bad the login form experience has become. Often two page loads for a password and session times of 24 hours are common. Also “magic links” so I have to wait for an email now sometimes. Just awful. (SSO a large issue)

@heinzkabutz Depends on whether it is done in parallel or not? Accumulator calls add which resizes normally, but Combiner for toList is addAll, which only resizes to the necessary length. Not at my computer but guessing it is 13.8m for serial, 10m for parallel?

What is the length of the elementData array in the returned ArrayList when you do "stream.collect(Collectors.toList())"? Assume that the stream contains 10 million elements.

@RadioFreeTom The fact that so many states are rushing to pass laws that make it easier to carry guns at all times and other laws to set a high bar for prosecuting people who kill others and claim “self defense” is going to make this so much worse.
