near.com went live last week and I’m only now getting a second to post about it. we’ve been building this for a few weeks, day and night but there were real moments where we weren’t sure we’d ship on time the last few nights before launch were a blur but seeing confidential @NEARProtocol intents working inside the app for the first time was the moment it clicked i’ve been tech lead on the app, and when you’re that heads down you don’t always stop to appreciate what the team actually built. seeing all the wonderful feedback we have gotten and even going to nearcon and feeling how hyped people were gave me that perspective back one account, almost every chain: > swap across 35+ chains with good rates and low fees > confidential portfolio and transfers > P2P OTC with no middleman. set terms, share a link, done > save contacts across multiple networks > UX that doesn’t suck more confidential features, onramp, offramp and earn all coming soon. this is just the start shoutout to @dafacto for good product leadership, @AlexAuroraDev and the intents team for shipping and to @ilblackdragon for creating a cool chain if you haven’t tried it yet, go check it out, me and the team are polishing things up, any feedback helps

Introducing OpenVenice — an open-source, customizable frontend for @AskVenice. Your API key stays in your browser, talks directly to Venice. No server, no backend. - Chat, image gen, audio, music, video, embeddings — everything venice offers in one clean UI - Visual workflows — chain models together (vision → LLM → image gen -> video gen). Venice is multimodal so you can build some really powerful workflows - Full control over every model parameter - Runs locally, deploys anywhere — zero infrastructure I'm a $DIEM holder and heavy Venice user. The models are solid and website is great but I kept wanting more freedom with the UX — more control, custom tools, being able to give it access to my local computer, multimodal chaining -- something I could shape to how I actually work. Didn't exist, so I built it. Feel free to fork and make it yours. Open source, MIT licensed. github.com/nikshepsvn/ope…

After over four years building THORChain, I’m starting a new chapter. I’m joining @NEARProtocol to build NEAR Intents, focusing on BD & growth. This is a conviction bet on DeFi, Privacy, AI, and the NEAR team. I couldn’t be more excited to join a strong ecosystem of builders. I think NEAR has several advantages that will help us accelerate the next wave of DeFi adoption (and far beyond) through Intents: 1) Market structure: There is no single unified marketplace. Instead, a competitive solver network sources the best price from anywhere. Competition is the edge. It’s why NEAR achieves strong price execution and continues to improve as the network grows 2) Privacy: Private transactions extend privacy to any connected asset without sacrificing self custody. Institutions and serious individuals don’t want their business to be your business. Ironically, many rely on centralized exchanges today for that privacy. We can bring that activity onchain without making everyone’s transactions public 3) Compliance: If DeFi wants broad adoption, sensible compliance is unavoidable. The challenge is doing it without compromising censorship resistance and permissionlessness. Serious actors will not come onchain unless their safety and users are protected 4) Deposit channels: This is gold standard UX. Send assets to an address and top up your onchain account. Simple & familiar, giving CEX-like parity without giving up self custody. That removes friction and accelerates adoption 5) Brand and trust: Branding is underrated infrastructure. NEAR is in the perfect position for this 6) Narrative alignment: Stablecoins as USD rails. Native Bitcoin rails. Blockchains as infrastructure. Onchain privacy. Agents transacting onchain. NEAR sits at the intersection of every major narrative that continues to gain momentum 7) AI alignment: Agents will play a growing role in everyday life. NEAR sits at the intersection of AI coordination and crypto rails. That convergence is only beginning and has yet to meaningfully play out, as the space is still very young. NEAR is an AI org at its core. 8) Builders who ship: I’ve been consistently impressed by the team’s velocity and focus on real products that improve users’ lives. Not vaporware. In the arena, trying things 9) A superset of all finance: Today the focus is crypto to crypto rails. The end state is much larger. Stocks, derivatives, forex, prediction markets, commodities, lending. Intents can become coordination infrastructure for all financial venues as they move onchain. 10) Beyond just finance: Intents are not limited to capital markets. They enable subjective requests executed by agents. Find an apartment, book a trip, sell a car, coordinate logistics. Intents as programmable infrastructure for real world coordination, not just finance. This is largely unexplored space which will grow massively in the coming years and Intents is the perfect coordination layer I still fully intend to remain a THORChain community member. That’s who I am and what I considered myself since Day 1 over five years ago and I don’t see that changing. I’m immensely proud of what we built over the last few years. I also will continue maintaining Rune Tools as the network continues to evolve. I’m infinitely grateful to those who helped me along the way, especially Chad, Gavin, and the 9R team who gave me the opportunity to work on the cutting edge. Personally, it’s very bittersweet for me and I’m sad to leave the team, but also very excited to start on a new chapter for myself. One where I think I have a major opportunity to help to accelerate DeFi, Bitcoin, AI alignment, & the principles that helped keep me in this space. Infinite thanks and gratitude to my friends and colleagues (you know who you are) I feel like I have so much more I want to accomplish and I couldn’t be more excited to be in the arena at the cutting edge of crypto rails, privacy, and AI at NEAR Much love ❤️ Tyler FamiliarCow

Just met a cute girl at a coffee shop in SF. Like actually cute. Effortlessly cool. The kind of girl who says “I’m into crypto” and you don’t immediately assume she’s never signed a transaction. We’re talking. Vibes are good. She’s laughing at my jokes. I’m composed. Then she says it. “I’m into crypto.” My ears PERKED up. I played it cool. “Oh nice. What ecosystem?” She says, casually: “I like NEAR.” Okay. Respect. I lean in slightly. “You use near.com much?” She smiles. “I hold some NEAR. I mostly on Coinbase.” And that’s where a normal person would’ve said “that’s cool” and asked for her number. But I am not a normal person. My brain immediately went full protocol-maxi autopilot. “On Coinbase?” I said. “So you’re not actually using near.com?” She blinks. “I mean… I have a wallet.” I didn’t stop. “Are you using Intents? Have you actually executed a cross-chain swap through NEAR? Or are you just… watching price?” She stirs her coffee slowly. “I just bought it because I think the tech is good.” The tech is good. THE TECH IS GOOD??? “You realize NEAR literally abstracts away the chain layer, right?” I say. “You can swap assets across every ecosystem in a simple unified app. That’s the whole point.” She nods politely. “So you’re telling me,” I continue, “you have access to a chain abstraction super-app designed to make Web3 feel like Web2… and you’re just holding on coinbase?” The shift is immediate. The vibe? Evaporated. Her friend suddenly appears out of nowhere. “We have to go.” She packs her laptop. Gives me a small smile. Gone. I’m standing there alone in a SF coffee shop thinking about whether someone who’s never submitted an on-chain intent can even say they’re “into NEAR.” My friend texts me later. “Bro she was into you what happened?” I said, “She holds NEAR on Coinbase.” He said, “So?” So??? I refuse to spiritually align with someone who treats a chain-abstracted intent layer like a speculative ticker. She owns the token. I live inside the super-app. She checks charts. I execute intents. And honestly? That’s worth more

Solana@solana

Just met a cute girl at the wedding i'm at. like actually cute. genuinely attractive human being. we're talking. vibes are good. she's laughing at my jokes. i'm being charming. then crypto gets brought up, she says it "i use solana" my ears PERKED up i played it cool. i said "oh nice, what protocols are you on" she said "i have some SOL on Kraken" and that's where a normal person would have said "wow that's really cool" and gotten her number but i am not a normal person my brain immediately went into autopilot and i said "on Kraken? do you at least self-custody?" she looked confused i kept going "do you have a wallet? do you stake? what's your DeFi allocation. are you actually onchain or are you just sitting on a CEX watching candles" she said "i bought SOL and i check the price sometimes" and i said "so you don't actually use solana" the vibe was GONE her friend pulled her away. she didn't look back. i was standing there alone at a wedding holding a drink i wasn't even sipping doing MENTAL MATH on whether someone who's never left a CEX can even call themselves a solana user my friend walked over and said "bro she was into you what happened" i said "she holds SOL on a CEX" he said "so?" SO??? i would rather DIE alone than let a CEX-only price-checker who's never opened Phantom think we're in the same ecosystem she had a pretty face but a DISGUSTING onchain history because there IS no onchain history and i simply cannot overlook that could've had her number but she knows i'm running DeFi positions across Drift and Kamino at 3am while she's asleep and honestly that's worth more solana
