The consumer carbon tax had become too divisive at a time when Canadians need to be united – so Mark Carney cancelled it on day one.

@JBug_49 @yegwave Calm the fuck down, i was stuck in the traffic as well, saw your people crashing into the divider over and over again trying to drive away, they couldn’t because its physics, it was ice, no traction! Rock spreader truck came after an hour and then people started moving.

Scene on the Whitemud Drive near Quesnell Bridge right now. People are reportedly leaving their cars and walking home 😳 Edmonton Police has also now closed Whitemud Drive in all directions between the Quesnell Brodge and Gateway Boulevard.

Due to poor road conditions and winter weather, Whitemud Drive near the Quesnell Bridge has been closed. Fox Drive has also been closed. Please use extra caution on the roads, or stay home if you can.

@JBug_49 @yegwave There was no rock spread on the road and no snow ploughing, when weather got colder, road got slippery and all vehicles couldn’t make the curves and slipped into the road barriers, it wasnt bad driver or summer tire issue

@yegwave Literally, all everyone had to do was drive a little bit slower and keep their distance from the vehicle in front of them....smh

@TheAshes45 @abradioone @yegwave City forgot they have snowplow and rock spreader trucks. Its pathetic, took an hour for police and fire trucks to respond. City needs new management

I urge caution fellow Canadians. Look to the mess and chaos in the USA before you consider voting for Maple MAGA Poilievre.
