@thekaipullai Another big problem here is that the Congress breached the trust of its voters that voted for it thinking it was part of the DMK alliance. I don't think changing alliances should be allowed immediately after elections.

My favourite part of this whole TN political saga was how the TVK and Congress justified their alliance by saying "We wanted to ensure Secularism wins" and then they go and seek the support of the most secular party of all time The AIUML So much secularism there

@SamSiff This issue is mainly due to lack of enough parking. People just build commercial spaces without making enough car parking. Same story in all cities

The Forgotten ‘Man’ 👨‍⚖️
Women openly ignore rules and laws in India, confident that the victim card will erase accountability. That’s not empowerment — that’s nuisance with immunity. Breaking laws. Creating drama. Calling it empowerment.

BSNL ₹485 plan - 2GB/day 4G data for 72 days. On Jio/Airtel, the same plan costs ₹700-₹800. What's stopping you from switching to BSNL?

@pratik0227 @Akshat_World During job loss how ur clients handle rent? Also 13 14 % return on mf investment is not like bank fd. Its compounded. Major gain is by investing during crash. Some times job loss is at same time as market crash. Create excel with no sip during market crash.

As a CA, I always tell 30-year-olds: “Rent = EMI” is the biggest real-estate sales lie ever. Reality check I show every client: ₹40L flat → ₹32L loan@9% for 20 yrs = ₹92L total payment Same ₹40L in equity SIP@13% for 20 yrs → ₹3.8 Cr+ That ₹52L extra EMI paid is opportunity cost nobody mentions. Plus: - Job loss? EMI still due. Rent? Pause & move. - Under-construction delay? Pay rent + EMI both. - Dwarka/Rohini flats down 15-20% in real terms since 2015. Quick rule I give everyone: Buy house only when (a) you have ₹5 Cr+ portfolio OR (b) rent >12% of flat value (almost never happens). Otherwise rent + invest the difference is pure freedom + wealth. Follow @pratik0227 for daily tax & money hacks that actually save you lakhs. I reply to everyone.

The middle class gets trapped into buying a house. The pitch is: since your RENT= EMI, what's the point of paying rent? You can simply take a loan. Start paying an EMI. And, save on rent. There are numerous problems here:- 1) You get locked into paying an EMI for multiple years. This kills your flexibility. 2) You could lose your job/move to a different city/might have different requirements. 3) The house (if under-construction) can be delayed. This impacts your timelines. 4) Your house can become a depreciating asset. For eg. many flats in Dwarka, Rohini in Delhi have lost value. 5) Point #4 is very common. And, yet: b/c you have taken a loan, you are obligated to keep paying your EMI Forget the spreadsheet. Just the "obligation" of locking yourself on a 15-20 year loan is crazy. As you age, your obligations compound. No spreadsheet can capture that. If you are 30 -- thinking of buying a flat: make sure it is a damn good investment which grows in value (adjusted for inflation). Check your affordability and ability to take a loan for 15-20 years. If you are unsure, it is much better to rent.

Today, as India’s highest court decides the fate of our Indian dogs — let this iconic image and slogan echo across every screen: "AWARA NAHI, HAMARA HAI !" They are not strays — they are ours. “So, I know you’re watching… I have four words for you: Turn the volume up.” You politicians, bureaucrats, journalists, media houses, and decision-makers — > You’ve built narratives, not solutions. > You’ve debated headlines, not lives. > You’ve forgotten that compassion too is governance. Today, as India decides the fate of its dogs — We remind you: “Awara nahi, Hamara hai.” #AwaraNahiHamaraHai

#WATCH | Over SC order on stray dogs in Delhi-NCR, Supreme Court lawyer and petitioner Nanita Sharma says, "Today's order is similar to the previous order of August 11. Dogs will be removed from government Institutions, educational institutions, railway stations, and bus stops and will be relocated. A nodal officer will be appointed to ensure that they dont return to these institutions. I still have hope, and I believe in divine justice. There should not be such injustice to such voiceless animals... Relocation is a no-no under the ABC (Animal Birth Control) rules, but it has been justified with bites... What has happened today is unfortunate... The shelter houses should also be well-maintained... We are respecting the order because it is from the Supreme Court..."

The core issue lies in training and culture. Police training still follows the colonial-era model, teaching dominance and control instead of service and empathy. New recruits simply imitate their seniors, continuing a toxic cycle where authority means intimidation. This mindset reflects everywhere from parks, restaurants, and movie halls to police stations where citizens face unnecessary questioning and harassment. Many avoid filing complaints because the environment itself discourages them. Worse, there’s power without accountability. Officers are suspended briefly, then reinstated, with pay intact. Real reform means ending this cycle: retrain the force, enforce strict accountability, and remove such officers from public-facing roles. Until then, incidents like this will never stop.
