@dieworkwear As much as I like the idea of that party, I'll be happy with just a "come as you are" occasion.

@mfproudman @TimothyDSnyder The one replacing generals, creating private army, building more prisons for citizens, tampering w/elections, heading up a new group of countries to trade with, firing inspectors general, building a bunker w/hospital in WH. Open your eyes.
English

For context, the Biden Administration used the Jan 6 riot as a pretext to arrest about 1,500 people. Civil rights violations were numerous; Peaceful protesters ended up in federal prison. And this doesn't get to the political prosecution of Trump himself, nor the many other abuses. They put Tulsi Gabbard on a terror watch list.
Which party is the danger to democracy?

We are seven months away from the most consequential midterm election in the history of the United States. Meanwhile, we are fighting a war. These are the structural conditions for a coup attempt in which a president tries to nullify elections and take permanent power as a dictator. If we see this, we can stop it, overcome the movement that brought us to this point, and make a turn towards something better.

@RobertJMolnar This is why he's building a hospital under East Wing. He can't hide his medical treatments.
He does not plan to ever leave his office.

it's called narcissistic implosion
A narcissistic implosion (or collapse) occurs when a person with Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) can no longer maintain their grandiose, false self-image. Triggered by failures, public humiliation, or loss of admiration ("supply"), their defenses fail, resulting in rage, depression, self-pity, or frantic attempts to regain control as their reality crumbles.

I really wouldn’t be surprised if Donald Trump is at Walter Reed. His annual physical was nearly a year ago, and he had another “semiannual” physical almost 6 months ago. We need answers about why he’s MIA from the public during a war when a military member is missing.

Wait what?
Is that seriously 4 senior leaders in one evening?!
WTF?!

BREAKING: Hegseth has demanded another two top military generals step down Gen. David Hodne head of transportation command and Major General William Green Jr the chief of Army chaplains-WP

@RobertJMolnar IMHO, this was his greatest error in his 1st administration. I honestly can't figure out why he got off the hook for all of those preventable deaths. He's horrid.

@Publius215 @NBCNews No. It is illegal *up to that point of ruling*. That is how our system works. This system allows Felon Trump to issue illegal EOs that are enforced *until they are estopped or declared illegal*. You can't kill someone and avoid incarceration because you think the law is wrong.
English

@swimpoker @NBCNews It is absolutely avoided when the court “simply declar[es] that it is ‘unconstitutional’” after hearing argument from a defendant who “declar[ed] that it is ‘unconstitutional.’” That’s exactly how our system works
English

The Justice Department has issued a legal opinion stating that President Donald Trump does not have to turn over his presidential records to the National Archives at the end of his administration because that law is unconstitutional. nbcnews.com/politics/justi…
English

@Publius215 @NBCNews Wrong. People are prosecuted for breaking the law. Do you really think that punishment is avoided by simply declaring that it is "unconstitutional"? He's just trying to worm his way out of the upcoming Smith Vol. 2 case, which will come out. He's a con, a sexual abuser and felon.
English

@swimpoker @NBCNews No one is punished for violating an unconstitutional law. You know that, right? That’s the whole point of challenging it. In fact, it’s the way we find out a law is unconstitutional. But no one would be crazy enough to charge a former president relating to his records, right?
English

@Publius215 @NBCNews I don't have to. It's wrong on its face. If they want to change the law, make a case to Congress or appeal to the courts. Until then, he must abide by the laws or get punished. No one is above the law.
English

@swimpoker @NBCNews Guess you didn’t read the opinion. The whole point is that the PRA is an unconstitutional overreach by the legislature into the executive branch akin to taking ownership over Scotus’ notes and drafts
English

Harrison: I worked with one of the greatest of all time—Nancy Pelosi—if not the greatest. We would never bring a bill to the floor without knowing whether we had the votes.
Mike Johnson just brings bills to the floor without knowing whether he has the votes, because he doesn’t lead his caucus—they lead him.
He’s just weak.
A speaker who can’t pass bills with his own majority isn’t governing—he’s borrowing power.
English

@Publius215 @NBCNews They already did. It's called the Presidential Records Act of 1978. It also applies to the Vice President and their staff.
English

@MacFarlaneNews Bondi should be glad she's an American. Otherwise, her body would be found on the pavement after "accidently" falling from a 6th floor window.
English

@factpostnews We can pay for anything we want! We're the richest nation in the history of nations. Don't try to tell us that the money isn't there when you refuse to tax the wealthiest of us at a fair rate.

I have a long night in front of me. But for those asking how to stay informed about Trump's latest attack on voting and the legal cases that will follow, my advice is to subscribe to Democracy Docket. I started it for times just like this. bit.ly/4a7l1TR

@Acyn How could the FBI not know? Don't they do any background checks on close family and friends? I smell BS.
