The orientation change. It's what everyone is searching for. Without it, you have to fight the weight of the bat. With it, the bat becomes exponentially easier to use. A lot of mental capacity opens up when you aren't concerned about the bat.

The Everett AquaSox extend our well wishes and thoughts to Eugene Emeralds infielder Isaiah Barkett, who departed today's game after being hit in the face by a pitch. We hope that Barkett makes a quick, strong recovery, and that he is back in action on the diamond soon 🫶

@108_Performance Top down. The legs support what’s above them. “To use the legs is to come OUT of the legs. To not use the legs is to stay IN the legs.” The legs support only.

Why does the cue “use your legs” not work?? With all the data we have now, a common misconception is that the force comes from the ground, but it comes from the fact force plates are reading it at the ground🤔 What the data tells us is that the best throwers have force at the inside of their back leg and send it to the outside of their front foot faster than everyone else. But the back leg has a lot of variance, some have more than others, some even have a short period in time where they have less weight on their back leg. But the best typically have the highest amount of force into their back leg close to when their front leg is going to land, not at the start. Oh and trying to hyperextend the front leg to get lead leg block doesn’t work either, the front leg needs to act as a pogo stick to send energy from the upper body to stop the energy, which doesn’t work off youre continuing through with your hips Seems like Logan Paul does have a little intuition😎 🎥: IG batboysbaseball #the108way

@CoachMonteLee Gibson #1 starter even Hank Aaron was afraid of him!! Carlton #2 starter could absolutely carve and fillet Gooden #3 starter not as intimidating as Gibson but had power stuff as well. Power then Finesse then Power. Thats 3 wins in a row at a high % and all 3 pitched deep!!!

This hitters!!! The hands have to roll over into extension out into fair territory. Stop staying palm up beyond extension. Thats pulling you off the balls path.

@TJHannam10 Bobby Cox, goes in to see a Braves potential 1st Rd option. Guy gets in a fight during the game. Cox told his scouting director, “This is the guy I want.” Seeing emotions are important. Especially today with the amount of non competitive players.

100%. Scouts have told me they'd almost rather watch a player go 0-4. They already know he's talented, that's why they're there. How do they carry themselves and act when it's not going their way? Showing how much EMOTIONAL CONTROL they have will serve them for the long haul
Leland McAfee@leemac39

This is 💯 truth. Its also why good scouts whether college or pro, value the observation of how a player fails, a lot of the time more than how they handle success. ⚾️ is a game of opportunity and how we fail most often defines weather we succeed. More than just metrics and analytics, there's a makeup that's required. Gotta love the game. Teaches us so much about life in general.

@TJHannam10 Could be through it better. Staying palm up does not keep you through the ball. The hands have to roll through extension.
