@BTCBreadMan There came a time when I had a good reason. Let her have a fund she could surprise the family out of. I.e. I did not see that purchase go through and ruin birthdays or Christmas. Unfortunately, she was an alcoholic, and it just made the problem worse.

When I got married 15 years ago the thought of not completely merging our finances did not even occur to me. It just seemed like an obvious no-brainer that married couples 100% share their financial situation.

@aphotomama I could not care less. I prefer long hair, if you cut it short, more power to you.. but don't ask me to be dishonest and say I like it. You did it for you, not for me. That kind of thing?

Question for the hetero men out there: how do you feel about women getting their nails done? Is it important to you for attraction?

Let's imagine a world with no gods, but the idea of gods.. When the first guy comes up with just one god is better than a whole bunch of gods, he gets every argument you are making. Primary mover, uncaused cause.. but still made up. So if the argument is equally useful for a made up scenario, it cannot be a good argument to demonstrate to the nonbeliever that a god exists. You are saying exactly what you would have to say in the world where god's do not exist. He is Higher, he is unreachable, Who are You to challenge? Nothing but bluster and indignation..

@sylevus @vcrvft @johncwright2001 But "proof" is kind of antithetical to genuine, legit Christianity. Genuinely functioning Christianity is not in the doing of something, but the believing, the trusting, the faith. Any "doing" should come as an expression of gratitude to God. It is a faith, not a religion.

@briandstone Allstate quoted me high for a Model Y. I checked USAA and fired Allsta5e for car and home.

Why in the world is Consumer Reports quoting these insane, unrealistic insurance rates for Teslas? I’ve never heard of anyone paying $400/mo to insure a Model 3.

@briandstone Per consumer reports….interesting…I’ll give my insurance company a call to see what they say.

@sylevus @johncwright2001 No, I’m saying I find it incredibly myopic and very easily explainable that there is a higher power. And if you can’t see that, I truly feel sorry for you. This is completely independent of organized religion, simply a proof of higher power.

@sylevus @johncwright2001 Not true. I’ve seen it a thousand times while students are looking at data when the data doesn’t say want they want it to. They don’t see what’s in front of their face. Just a fact.

@sylevus @johncwright2001 And yet you are afraid to run the experiment yourself. N is always = to 1 for proof of God. Ask him for faith. See what happens.

@sylevus @johncwright2001 oh, how does it feel to have the tables turned? and for the fifth time: the notion that everything came from nowhere and for no reason is absurd. you have no foundation I can discern. value system? apologetics? most physicists I have met were devout Christian or Muslim.

@_Abides_ @johncwright2001 You are puffing up indignant, putting words in my mouth, insisting I make up answers or believe other made up answers. I do not accept that proposition or your mischaracterization of my position.

@sylevus @johncwright2001 you are dodging everything I am saying with accusations. there is no "point" here after your one miracle, great prophet of everything from nowhere and for no reason. without your miracle you have nothing. yes, I have a miracle too. it's unironically you, your breath, your mind.

@sylevus @johncwright2001 My simple question to all atheists is this…we hold that matter can not spontaneously appear, or come to exist. If then, there is no God, and you want to fall back on to the creation of the universe with the Big Bang, what, other than God, got the ball rolling and created?

@_Abides_ @johncwright2001 You are pretending a story is an answer while demonstrating none if your claims. And avoiding my point. If a god exists, it exists somewhere, right?

@sylevus @johncwright2001 everything came from nowhere and for no reason because where does your god exist? seems to fall short. My God is the Word, in Him is life, and that life is the light of men.

@_Abides_ @johncwright2001 Where does your god exist? You ask me to accept reality just exists, but includes a god reality you cannot demonstrate exists. We are in the same boat, reality is.

@sylevus @johncwright2001 no, I said you demand we accept your miracle. that everything came from nothing out of nowhere and for now reason. third time I've said that by the way. but we can deflect from that and reference what, Roman gods or nature worship? you have no foundation and are not a prophet.

@sylevus @johncwright2001 what I said is accurate. you demand one miracle and all else can be explained. you, the herald of truth, above all of us. after that you're just doing the unicorns and bearded skyman thing lesser minds enjoy so much.

@sylevus @johncwright2001 yes but we must give you this one miracle nevertheless. your entire worldview depends upon it. and it should: as you must justify your cruelty with the absolute. you, the self-anointed, and herald of the actual truth. that truth? hacked together nonsense you made up on your own.

@_Abides_ @johncwright2001 If our ancestors made up all the gods, we do not have a valid explanation. That is only a problem if you are vested in pretending one of those gods really existed. Otherwise humanity is not owed all the answers and we have barely explored reality.

@sylevus @johncwright2001 one body of evidence we agree on is how incomprehensibly vicious you've become being cut off from the simplest truth in the universe. all while demanding we accept just one miracle: that everything came out of nowhere and for no reason. then you can explain the rest just fine.
