@CoinDealerDCL @DecentralGames Renting is just another form of utility propagation IMO. Notably for the short term/one off usages. If an NFT's utility is sought-after, then renting provides flexibility in that dimension. Thanks for your thoughts 🙂

I am pretty skeptical that rent seeking will ever be successful in #web3 because it by definition doesn’t really create value. The model that is more likely is a split revenue model like what @DecentralGames is doing with $ICE wearables.

@coinbabycoin Not everyone might want to own the NFT for short-term/one-off utility. Renting caters for that. E.g. try before you buy for GameFi assets, or experiment with combinations of NFT primitives (examples in the thread)

@ConcaveFi is gating certain parts of their @gather_town space with #NFTs. To access those, particularly for special events, one can rent Concave's NFTs to gain access for short periods.
