@v_language I was reading the vlang manual and lowkey I liked what I read. Than, I find out it forces single quotes. Why did do that?

With news of Flatpak 2 possibly requiring Wayland... It's worth noting that not only are half of all Linux users *not* using Wayland... but Wayland's marketshare has actually gone *down* over the last two years. In other words: Anyone making the claim that a hard dependency on Wayland is reasonable because "most Linux users use Wayland"... is not telling the truth.
The Lunduke Journal@LundukeJournal

Half of Linux Users Stick with X11, Despite Years of Wayland Being Forced Wayland has been the default for several years on the largest Linux distributions (Ubuntu, Fedora, etc.), yet Wayland usage has actually decreased since 2024.

Programming languages model the way you compute. A language built upon eager sequential operations fails to model how logic works, and their specifications are built in a way to let the compiler rearrange operations (within the strict, eager rough specification you have) anyway. (See: C++, Rust, etc) You obviously want this model to represent how you compute better. Haskell does a better job at this, but it is too static (which computers are not) Lisp comes to mind, but it is not lazy, and is too stuck in syntax. You can see where I'm going with this post :)

WhatsApp encryption is a giant fraud. The state of Texas just sued WhatsApp for lying to users about privacy — because WhatsApp employees have access to “virtually all” private messages. Now we know what WhatsApp’s founder meant when he said he “sold his users’ privacy.”

I thought vibecoded stood for unreviewed/uncomprehended AI generated code. What's the correct term for reviewed AI code? Some AI-assisted programming is being done in Braiins with the policy that you are responsible for all AI lines of code and that all lines must be reviewed by someone else (just like any other piece of code). Is that vibecoding?

Linux Kernel is Now Vibe Coded Usage of AI (Claude, Codex, etc.) is exploding in the Linux world. At the current rate, the Linux Kernel will be predominantly developed using AI sometime this year.
