@real_lord_miles Only thing about that which really sucks is the fact that someone will buy a 3DS thinking it is a NEW 3DS. Other than that its just going to sit on some collectors shelf so who cares.

I know one guy who’s doing something very illegal 👎👎👎 He buys a scratched up Nintendo 3DS XL for $70, swaps the shell to a rare collectible one for $30 in 30 mins. He has contacted some manufacturer in Vietnam to reproduce the Nintendo box exactly for $10/box, and changes the barcode each time. He will put the inserts, charger, 3DS XL etc into the box and seal it. He will rough it up a little bit so it looks realistic. He will even use a recipe printer to print out a fake store recipe for the console and make it look very old. He will pay a guy $20 to X-ray the box so collectors can see the inside of the “sealed” console. He then sells them on eBay under numerous false accounts for $1,300/ unit. He told me he’s sold 50+ of various limited edition Nintendo consoles. Buyers can’t tell the difference. $1,150 profit per unit roughly. $50k profit from forgery. Only learnt about this recently, reporting him to his nations police right now.

SMTendo / POW Block Update: I should have stock posted tomorrow. It’s likely not enough for everyone that wants one, so if they go through very fast, I may consider doing a pre-order for the next batch (similar to CLD-PD). POW Block’s will be a bit more limited since I apparently didn’t get enough yellow RCA jacks - I have black colored jacks, but I think everyone would prefer to have the “correct” color ultimately.

What a shock that a guy who is running a company dedicated to selling physical media in 2025 has such out dated beliefs. What a sad end to a company that was such a source of fun for so many years. Only reason this guy has anything to sell is because of meme traders.

JUST IN: More good news on inflation. The US inflation rate cooled to 2.5% (y/y) in August, the lowest since February 2021. This gives the Fed and everyone else more confidence the inflation battle has been won. Lower gas prices, lower electricity costs and lower used car prices helped bring down inflation in August. The monthly price growth was just 0.2% (as expected) “Core” inflation remained at 3.2% —> lowest since April 2021
