@Mike_M_Klotz I agree. Previous Odyssey owner myself. Had a Pacifica rental for two weeks and it was very nice indeed.

@MediumDogg1 @Mike_M_Klotz Yeah because the 3.5 Honda V6 and auto transmissions from that era were just as garbage as a GM body. My 2006 Odyssey was far and away the most problematic vehicle I've ever owned. Haven't owned a Honda since.

@Mike_M_Klotz Those actually have the 3.5 V6 and auto transmission from the Honda Pilot in them - the drives train is solid despite the body being GM garbage 😂

@AutoPap When my parents sold their house and moved to an apartment they had to sell their EV. Was 6 chargers for a 22 story apartment.

You can't own an EV without a home charger. FULL STOP. Public charging is a rip off which negates the point of having one. Dealers need to be more transparent about this before they take your money.

@DragTimes Thing I hate most about being a Tesla owner is reading the comments of other Tesla owners. Give it up. The Vette won. Big deal. Both the Plaid AND the ZR1X are impressive machines. Smart people recognize the brilliant engineering in both and respect that.

@JonBbC_TechGeek Different everywhere I guess. My tesla insurance is 39% more than the GMC Yukon we I own (23 Y 24 GMC). The tires have come down in price for sure in the past few years. Winter EV specific tires are still $$$, so I just go with standard studded Nokians and take the hit in range.

I’ll post this again for anyone who cares. People “claim” EV’s are expensive and out of reach due to the tires and insurance. It’s not true at all. Why not buy a used EV? What’s wrong with that? My annual auto insurance with Erie is $781 for full coverage. Tires cost is $380. I get 40-50k miles on my tires. Peace of mind for self-driving from Tesla? Priceless. Biggest money hack there is.
TechGeek Tesla 🔋⚡️@JonBbC_TechGeek

The secret that nobody will tell you. 🤫 Total cost for all 4 tires: $265.41 + $116 install = $380.41 total 18” Tires for my Model 3. High Performance Lexani LXUHP-207 235/45ZR18 - You can find them on Simple Tire Last set (same tires) got me 48,800 miles across 3 winters and lots of Uber drives in Chicago. 🔥

This is not as easy as it looks. My hubby's dad owned an autobody shop. It takes serious talent to achieve a smooth, run-free coat.

@congressdj While I love my EV and would never replace it for daily work commute, its NOT a superior road trip vehicle. Not even close. I'll still gladly fill that tank. My off time deserves better than to even think about charging. I'll continue to own both EV and ICE.

@Steph_iscrypto The CTO doesn’t believe in $100 XRP speaks volumes about it. I doubt there would be a single coin left to buy if anyone with serious money actually believed it would go that high.

@OverlyTrev Does it really bother you so badly? I own a EV and gas vehicle as both have their own use case benefits. I don’t get bothered one bit filling up gas, nor do I get bothered plugging in the EV. I fail to understand why EV and gas owners insist on pushing their rhetoric constantly

There is a huge misconception when people claim it only takes 5 minutes to fill up a gas tank versus charging an EV. Here are the key considerations: 1. The typical time spent at a gas pump is 8–9 minutes, but it varies: - Circle K: 8.9 minutes - Sheetz: 11.5 minutes - Wawa: 11.4 minutes - Buc-ee’s: 20.3 minutes 2. Filling up requires driving to the station, which can take 10–45 minutes depending on your location and the nearest station. 3. Oil changes and maintenance take time and money (even if you do them yourself, you still have to buy oil and perform the work). EVs eliminate this entirely. 4. Home charging takes seconds to plug in, and you wake up to a full charge the next day. 5. In March, I spent $9 on electricity while current gas prices are $3.49/gallon—a savings of over $60 in fuel for the month. 6. Adding up time and money saved over a year comes to roughly 15–30 hours and over $750, and I don’t even drive that much. EV’s save you time and money and once you have one you’ll never go back to gas.
