@TankerTrackers This is my deaf kitty Maverick. He came to live with us after his mama got run over and the dairy farmer did not want the same fate for him. His vet knew we were an indoor household. My hubs even built a kitty condo 6x6x20!

That looks a lot like NITC’s HERBY (9362059). She was heading home from the Riau archipelago after having transferred her two million barrels of Iranian crude oil cargo via an STS transfer. She last pinged over AIS on 2026-04-12 off the SW coast of India as she was heading back towards Iran. It takes about a week to reach Iran from there. This took twice as long due to the blockade.

@MerruX Looks can be deceiving when it comes to the floating rooftop storage tanks under SAR; at least with this filter.

There were three VLCC supertankers loading crude oil at Kharg Island yesterday (2026-04-24). That's 6 million barrels. Basing on their movements, we believe that two of these VLCC's are Iranian-flagged while the third is a freelancer. SAR imagery by ESA Copernicus Sentinel-1 #OOTT #IranWar #Iran

@TankerTrackers @CENTCOM yes, but I registered it at Larak when sailing. So I think it is important to stick to what can be documented, hence Larak and not Bandar Abbas. But I am surprised that they sail freely where Iran stops other vessels.

@TankerTrackers Thanks for your ongoing reporting. I know it can’t be easy doing that and just getting a lot of politics/abuse when people don’t want to hear the news/truth. Obv this particular one is easy as you and centcom concur!

This is NASHA, it is a very old VLCC tanker that Iran has in the Gulf and occasionally uses as floating storage. It is getting a tremendous amount of attention because it is moving (very slowly) toward Kharg Island, likely to be filled up. Does this mean Iran is about to shut-in production? I don't think so. There are (by my count) at least a dozen VLCCs or other tankers ballasting their way toward the Gulf. There are two more empty tankers in the Gulf that could also draw from Kharg. Iran has had success loading and exporting despite the blockade. It's storage is not close to being maxed out. Also, if NIOC does proceed with shut-ins, I don't think it would be as calamitous as some have suggested. They successfully shut-in in 2013-2015 and 2019-2021, in both instances reversing within a few years.

Today, Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) sanctioned Hengli Petrochemical (Dalian) Refinery Co., Ltd., a China-based independent teapot refinery. China-based teapot refineries continue to play a vital role in sustaining Iran’s oil economy, and Hengli Petrochemical is one of Iran’s largest customers, having purchased billions of dollars’ worth of Iranian petroleum. Additionally today, OFAC is targeting around 40 shipping firms and vessels associated with Iran’s shadow fleet. Economic Fury continues to disrupt Tehran’s ability to generate the revenue that enables the regime’s reckless terrorist activities.

🇮🇷🇺🇸 Iran just reactivated a 30-year-old retired supertanker because it's running out of places to put oil. Kharg handles 90% of Iran's crude exports, but the U.S. blockade collapsed those exports to near zero while upstream production kept running. Iran had roughly 12 days of spare storage capacity when the blockade began on April 13. That window closes this week. The tanker's 2 million barrels buys about 48 hours. The bigger problem is what happens if the wells shut in. Estimates put permanent production capacity loss at 300,000 to 500,000 barrels per day if the current trajectory holds. That damage doesn't reverse when the blockade lifts. Iran just reactivated a floating corpse and asked it to buy 2 days. Source: @TankerTrackers, @shanaka86

🇺🇸🇮🇷 U.S. B-52H bombers are still in the UK, fully armed, as the ceasefire holds. Ready to go in a moment, they can carry up to 70,000 lbs of weapons, including Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JDAMs), air-launched cruise missiles, and gravity bombs.

@MamaDailyDairy The Iranian tankers carrying Iranian oil which are being redirected back are not seized. They're only ordered to return to Iran. The two actual seizures we saw in the past couple of days were of non-Iranian tankers carrying Iranian oil. They're flying fake flags. Thanks

@TankerTrackers Any idea why the US is seizing Iranian oil tankers & sometimes redirecting them back to their original port? 🫩 Also, do you think there’s an increase in Chinese or other foreign tankers🫩 #Iran is still selling a lot of oil through alternative partners & routes 🫩 #IranWar

Although it's not their latest locations, these are the latest satellite imagery sightings we have made of the Iranian-flagged tankers carrying crude oil. The US Navy went down to the Indian Ocean to redirect a couple of them back to Iran.

My earlier analysis estimated ~13 days before Kharg Island onshore storage hits capacity. @Tankertrackers confirms Iran has pulled NASHA (9079107), a 30yo VLCC, out of retirement to handle overflow. ~13-day figure was based on ~13M barrels spare capacity at Kharg ÷ ~1.0–1.1M bpd net daily inflow, projected from around early-to-mid April, which puts the saturation window squarely around late April, consistent with NASHA being activated today, April 23.
TankerTrackers.com, Inc.@TankerTrackers

To prepare for the possibility of running out of oil storage space at Kharg Island, Iran has brought NASHA (9079107) out of retirement. She's a 30yo VLCC that's been anchored empty for the past few years; currently spending 4 days on a trip that should take 1.5–2 days. #OOTT
