Hey @LGUS I was asked to message you again to reopen a case, so this is me, doing that.

@LGUS .@LGUS yet again I give you the same info, yet again you give me the same list of vendors to call for warranty service, the same ones who haven't called me back for 6 months. What good is a warranty if you can't ensure actual service?

@LGUS I bought an OLED TV from you because of the 5 year warranty. My panel has an issue, and the only repair vendor you'll use has been dodging my calls for 6 months. What good is a warranty if you can't get a repair?

@adamhjk Absolutely true that having something to renew creates more renewal opportunities (I won't be among them though). And all of it buys time and optionality which they desperately need. We'll see how they use it from here.

@tannerburson I'm not saying they won't struggle, or that they aren't making tactical unforced errors that will hurt the business on renewals. But they're far better positioned for success today than they were two years ago.

@adamhjk I'll be really interested to see what their growth looks like in year 2 and 3 after these moves. Short term bumps are easy enough to generate, turning that into momentum? I'm far less bullish on their ability there.

@tannerburson Sure. Also, that business was not looking very hot before, and now it’s doing quite well. So extortion it may be, but it’s working. :)

@rockstjaerna But what if, hypothetically, I want a comfortable pillow and I think America has had a good run and maybe its time to try something else? Do you have a pillow for that?

Introducing my new "America Pillow" line of products - the pillows are honestly not that comfortable, but we don't use the profits to attempt to destroy American democracy.

@tannerburson @kendricklamar @jorydotcom Wait. What’s the principle? I’ve listened to pretty much nothing else since it came out. Easily album of the year. Might even say one of the best of all time.

@StabbyCutyou There are paid data sets for this sort of thing that are _better_ in that they have a broader set of participating companies but still don't do a great job at handling the full compensation package, particularly equity and benefits.

To whoever needs to hear it: you can just reply to an email from your personal account, you don’t need to write a company blog post.

@StabbyCutyou @MelanieMRG @tapjoy I love the idea of you realizing you're late for a meeting and needing to fold up your monitor contraption and somehow hold it all together while running to the conference room

@StabbyCutyou I really want to make a horse head and NFT joke here, but can't manage to fit them both together. So imagine something funny.

Worst line in a sales conversation: "we're not _trying_ to be Oracle here (pregnant pause) but yeah, you'd be out of compliance and that's, well that's on you".

This is a super important, and under discussed topic. The industry wants you to feel shamed into silence after these experiences, which prevents others in the community from learning from the situation and can allow bad actors to avoid consequences of their actions for too long

In my 20+ years in the tech startup world I feel like i've gotten pretty good at dealing with the BS that comes along with it. But one thing that puts me over the edge is hearing, months or years later, about a founder who lied about why someone left the company.
