Out of the gate, no major issues. We've confirmed several reports of edge cases we're working through. Performance is stable, we're adopting more servers to Unity 6 today for wider scale testing. Client performance data is positive, but the data set is smaller, so we'll see where it levels out over the coming days.

Lots of discussion surrounding the updated Rust player model. Your model is updated, what your player looks like on Staging now will likely change for release in June. On the roadmap, we do have player customization scheduled to be released Q4 2026, allowing you to change your appearance.

@Alistair_McF can you please allow us to place storage adapters ontop of wicker barrels, like on large storage boxes? Currently you can only place them on the front, which means 90% of the time you are unable to use them due to other box placement, or sleeping bags 🙏

Latest Rust update is now out! Lots of great changes! Extended day time ☀️ We're also experimenting with TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot Enforcement on specific servers. Will report back at the end of the month with data on the impact is has on cheating for these servers.

@nikgeneburn Unpopular opinion: I am totally fine with 4-5 min match times. The perfect amount of time to grab a drink, take a piss, hit the bong etc etc.

maybe you noticed - we are doing some changes to matching, reducing matching times. There will be more changes to that to reduce it more

Rust: We’re continuing to strengthen our anti-cheat efforts. From March, server owners will be able to opt in and only allow connections to players who have Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 enabled. We know not everyone is on hardware that supports Secure Boot or TPM 2.0, which is why we’re taking this middle-ground approach to start with. This will launch as an optional setting for server owners, but over time we’ll be reviewing the metrics and expect to move towards making this mandatory across all servers. Adoption rates for Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 are now significantly higher and continue to rise, they’re increasingly standard across competitive multiplayer games.
