My Story I was born and raised in the church. At 26, I married my husband and had one child. What I thought would be a happy, eternal family turned into 17 years of enduring terrible abuse of every kind. After my divorce, life was incredibly hard. I had been a stay-at-home mom and I suddenly struggled to provide for my child. My heart broke as my child attempted suicide multiple times, while my ex was completely absent due to the abuse to my kid. I stayed active in the church, doing my best to keep my faith alive, even while working a demanding job with 70-hour weeks, including Sundays. Eventually, even after leaving that job, attending church became a struggle. The frustration of where my life had led, the dreams of the family I never got, and the pain I carried caused me to “give up.” I began dating outside the faith, abandoning the standards I once held, and convinced myself I never wanted to marry again. I never stopped believing the church was true, I had simply lost the desire to care or try. Numbness felt easier… or so I thought. Then, one day, I decided to pray again. And that simple act changed everything. It changed my heart. It changed my mindset. It changed my future. I’m so grateful.

Don’t be afraid to stand up for and share what you know is true. I know The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints(@Ch_JesusChrist) is the same church Jesus Christ established on earth when He was alive. Repost, comment, save this photo, and post what you know is true. #SaintsOnX

@tavylds Backing up His answer, with an answer because He wants you to act is like having your faith and testimony strengthened *2 in one sitting.

Many years ago, I was kneeling in prayer about a question that mattered deeply to me. I received an answer, but wasn’t sure it was from God or just my own thoughts. Several days later I randomly stumbled across this scripture- Doctrine & Covenants 6:22-23, and in that moment I knew it was Him, quietly confirming my answer. That scripture has meant so much to me ever since. Chapter 6 in its entirety is so beautiful.

What I like about the way God communicates, it is personalized to each individual. It is also hard to explain to others in a way that is completely correct. For example, 7 months after joining the church, I decided it was finally time for me to get a witness if it was true. Having been raised Methodist, we did not pray as a family and in church only the Minister said the prayer. So it took me some time to learn to pray, and especially to pray and expect to actually get an answer. One morning my wife was going to be gone with the 3 kids, so I decided now it the time. I went into the living room and knelt in front of the couch. I was prepared to stay there as long as it took. After saying my pray and asking Heavenly Father if the church was true, almost immediately I received my answer. The best way to describe it is that I simply remembered that it was true. But it was more than that. It was like when you cannot remember the name of an actor in a movie. So you move on to other things, and then suddenly the name comes to you. You know with absolute certainty that the name is correct. That is how it felt for me. I suddenly knew with absolute certainty that it was true. So when someone presents to me some small detail that they think will undermine my entire faith, they are shocked when I just pay it no heed. When you have absolute certainty that a thing is true, you have a different perspective on trivial things that may r may not be true.

I am so grateful for my Savior, Jesus Christ. In a world that can feel uncertain and overwhelming, He has been my steady place, my peace when my heart feels anxious, and my strength when I feel worn down. I have felt His love in quiet, personal ways, reminding me that I am seen, known, and never alone. I am especially grateful that because of Him, I don’t have to be perfect to be loved. Through His Atonement, I can keep trying, keep growing, and keep becoming better. He understands my struggles, my fears, and even the things I don’t always have words for. That gives me so much comfort and hope. There have been moments when I’ve questioned myself or felt unsure of where I stand, but He has gently reminded me of my worth and helped me feel grounded again. I know He is patient with me, and that His grace is enough, not just in my best moments, but in my hardest ones too. I am grateful for the peace He brings into my life, for the way He softens my heart, and for the courage He gives me to keep moving forward. I know He lives, and I know He loves me personally. And that knowledge means everything to me.

The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is inviting all to participate in a special fast on July 5 in conjunction with the United States’ 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Wrote the First Presidency: “All are invited to participate in a unified fast to express gratitude for religious liberty and to pray that it be strengthened throughout the world.” Also, the Church’s April 2026 general conference will feature just four general sessions as well as a solemn assembly. With the conference held over Easter weekend this year, messages are expected to especially focus on Jesus Christ, His literal Resurrection, His infinite Atonement and the hope, renewal and peace that come through Him and His gospel. And in a Church News video titled “Love Thy Neighbor,” Church leaders — including Relief Society General President Camille N. Johnson, Presiding Bishop W. Christopher Waddell and Welfare and Self-Reliance Services managing director Blaine Maxfield — discuss progress made in caring for those in need in 2025. Leaders of charitable organizations and nonprofits speak about their collaborations with the Church in humanitarian efforts.

#SaintsOnX, my family needs your prayers. We all three have chronic disease which eventually kill us. My wife has MD, my teenage daughter has Lupus, Sjogrens, Rheumatoid arthritis, Kidney disease, lung disease, etc. She is not responding to the medications. I have had lung cancer (never smoked), heart problems, and, brain tumors. I've been unemployed for several months. Thank you in advance. Your Brother in Christ, Matt

Vulnerable moment: As a child of 8, pictures of my body were taken by my perpetrator. My parents didn’t know. I never told a soul. I was afraid. I remember looking for them, and not finding them. Not knowing where the ended up still haunts me to this day. The thought makes me physically ill and I want to weep. Not knowing who saw me, praying nobody else did. But what hurts even more is knowing I am not alone. Knowing there are children out there that have and ARE experiencing far worse than I did. And there are evil monsters that are at this moment viewing and distributing these innocent children for pleasure. This is why I’m loud. This is why I support ICE. This is why I support all Law Enforcement. This is why I will always speak up.
