JUST IN: A Johannesburg MMC and her bodyguard were arrested at the weekend. Sources have confirmed this to @pule_jones and I. They were arrested following an incident in Doornkop, Johannesburg, on 15 May 2026. According to a case opened with Police, a 16-year-old boy was allegedly assaulted, kidnapped and threatened with a firearm after he was found walking with the MMC’s 14-year-old daughter. Police allege the teenager was taken to a residence in Doornkop, where he was further assaulted and threatened before being released after the girl reportedly pleaded with her mother to let him go. The suspects were later arrested and detained at Roodepoort Police Station on charges of kidnapping, pointing of a firearm and common assault. Police also seized a firearm and ammunition as part of the investigation. However, it’s believed the complainant later withdrew the case.
