Ederson is 27 in a month, has only played in Serie A, is at a club that manufactures frauds, is perceived as super athletic in the least athletic league, cant make brazil team in his prime and has 1 year left on his contract and we want to buy him for €45M. So many red flags.

The #saintsfc punishment doesn’t fit the crime. Hopefully the appeal will be focused on this @MarkJLittlewood said it perfectly. “Its like being sentenced to death if you shoplifted”. It should have been a fine, ban for those involved & suspended points deduction at most. Madness

@forestmad80 Wasn't wrong though was it. Webb just said giving handball is a "better decision" and it's what "football expects" go cry some more.

@gergmitch Webb didn't even say it was a wrong decision lad 😂. He said "football expects" it to a handball. If you read the IFAB law it wasn't a handball, but you keep crying.

But apparently, rule 7.4 on page 1000 said the goal should stand, according to the Man U experts. It just shows, talk loud enough and people will believe anything. Ridiculous decision which thankfully doesn't change much other than giving Man U fans false hope they are on the up.
John Percy@JPercyTelegraph

#nffc receive apology from PGMOL chief Howard Webb, who has accepted that referee Michael Salisbury was wrong in not ruling out Manchester United’s second goal for handball. Forest may have avoided relegation but these decisions still cost clubs millions of pounds in league merit payments. Poor & happening way too often in the PL telegraph.co.uk/football/2026/…

@onlyeckles @maxbscott They can't, Webb never even reportedly said it was a handball. He's said "football expects" it to be a handball and the "better" decision is to give handball. They just need to change the rule and make it clear. If it went for any other club bar United we wouldn't hear a peep.

@maxbscott Im still waiting on anyone using the IFAB laws and PGMO guidance to explain why its so definitely a handball offence (including Howard webb).

@WayneSBarton From what's been reported Webb never even said it was wrong per se as in against the rules. Just that the "better" decision and "football expects" it to be handball. If they just fixed the handball rule altogether then it would be fine.

I would change the rules as well because it should be handball, but the rules are the rules mate so we can’t be calling the PGMOL corrupt based on the fact the correct decision -according to the rules of the game - was awarded
Forestmad 🔴⚪️@forestmad80

Hideous @FA_PGMOL, one of the worst decisions I’ve ever seen and get this pathetic referee banned. Utterly ridiculous and scandalous. I’d go so far to see as corrupt!!! You wonder why casual fans are falling out of love for the game. #NFFC #Premierleague #MUFC If Mbeumo scored directly from that then we all agree it gets disallowed so the fact that he’s then controlled it and Cunha has scored should make no difference. Wet wipe of a ref!!!

@maybebrayyy @mattlyas You do know have a shot blocked isn't classed as creating a chance. He didn't get credited with an assist either. He created nothing.

#MUNNFO – 55’ After VAR review, the referee stuck with the original decision to award a goal to Manchester United. Referee announcement: “After review, the decision of goal stands because the handball offence is accidental, therefore the final decision is goal.”

@mattlyas @maybebrayyy Mbeumo doesn't create anything either, he gets a shot away that was poorly defended. Which in turn feeds the ball to Cunha.

Can't blame VAR there... 100% an error by the on-field referee. I can see why he thought it may have been accidentally (touches thigh first) but Mbeumo clearly pins the ball with his arm - that's deliberate handball. Another one for Webb to apologise for 😆 #MUNNFO

@Puds1970 @kellsley @HughWoozencroft This is directly from IFAB. It isn't seen as deliberate by the on field referee so therefore it's given. VAR obviously saw it as deliberate, and the ref stuck with his own decision.

@kellsley @Puds1970 @HughWoozencroft It isn't deliberate love, it deflects off the defender and then Mbeumos thigh. He had no time to move/react given the multiple deflections.

@tcgharker @Puds1970 @HughWoozencroft Where in the law does it say you’re allowed to use your arm to control the ball? It didn’t hit his arm. He is using his arm to control the ball between his body and arm. It’s a deliberate handball.

@a_stanley27 @SkySportsPL No it only negates the Mbeumo handball making it accidental. As his shot is blocked and then partially cleared he has not created a goalscoring opportunity via accidental handball, this was in fact caused by the defenders blocking action.

@SkySportsPL By this logic a deflection off the body just negates whatever follows? Catch the ball and walk into the net with it because it came off his thigh first perhaps!

Michael Salisbury overrules VAR because he says Mbuemo accidentally handled the ball. Surely a professional, top level official knows it doesn’t need to be intentional to be handball. One of the most astonishing, delusional calls I’ve ever seen.

Casemiro, one of the heroes in dark times. A modest professional, a leader and top player. He'll be a huge miss for us and I wish him all the best. I ask #MUFC fans to reply below this tweet with a quick message of your own to Case. I'll make sure to get some of them sent to him
