Went to only a few Padre games last season, this year none.
Do you blame me? And I've been going to dozens of games a season for years.
Ticket, parking, concession prices through the roof. I don't want to pay to watch the team whiff all game and Machado jog to first. Fuck no!

Took the family to the Padres game on Saturday. We go to 10 ot 12 games a year and we are no longer shocked that each time we go it just tends to look worse and worse.

@Adventuring_RE Travelled to San Diego for the first time a few weeks ago. I was shocked how much of a dump the place is. Broken up streets and sidewalks everywhere, unkept and overgrown all down the sides of the roads, litter etc. just a little north was a stark contrast.

AJ Preller filled the Padres rotation with 2 of the worst starters in Major League Baseball last year in Walker Buehler and German Marquez. Random back end guys like Canning and Gonzales. He added older guys to the lineup like Nick Castellanos and Andujar. What did people expect?

Many more tickets than I would have expected still available for SDFC opener Sat. night at Snapdragon. Not sure why but my guess is it seems like ticket prices have risen by 20-25%, at least in areas where I sat last year. Anyone else notice same thing (or have another guess)?
