@ryanmatta Video is totally unreliable: sped up, that hides any edits. With Conditions like these of course they’ll burst out in the same time frame. No rain, high winds - to 100 mph- and crazy dry conditions. Meanwhile people are in pain. This is not opinion, this is disinformation.

@johndurant 100 mph winds, no rain for months. Climate change has put us in a situation that exceeds the capacity of human systems that exist. If you have a problem with preparedness talk to CalFire. They’re not the ones unprepared. Unwillingness to deal with climate change is the problem.

@thehoffather No proposed water storage sites are anywhere near LA. LA has a pipeline to the Eastern Sierra. water supply is not the problem. 100 mph winds, dry landscape all the result of climate change is the problem.

@BGatesIsaPyscho Trees are alive, have roots carrying moisture up, and bark tends to be fire resistant. Structures are dry, have no roots. If any debris in rain gutters, dry brush near walls, over hanging branches. Or open vents for flying embers (up to 2 miles from fire in LA) houses go up quick

@AllBiteNoBark88 Trees contain moisture. Houses do not. Trees are alive. Houses are not. Bark resists fire depending on species. The older a tree is the more fire resistant - in many case. Houses - if they catch on fire may only have 30 minutes before it’s a lost cause. Trees not necessarily
