Grade 2s explored African Heritage. We looked at symbols in the 2024 ETFO Black History Poster, connected to a story which taught us about Adinkra symbols from Ghana and discussed the big idea of how differences are AWESOME. @gen_brock_tdsb

Name inquiry based on “Alma and How She Got Her Name”. Students read many books and had rich discussions about names and where they come from. Then they researched and told the story of each part of their own names. Such beautiful name stories were shared. Proud teacher. 👏👏👏❤️
