"As a paid Hush-Kit subscriber, I feel really spoilt. Much cheaper than a monthly mag & so much more interesting. Funny, seriously informative, unapologetically opinionated...very human and doesn't clutter my attic!" Thanks, Tony! Be like Tony here: hushkit.substack.com

The trouble with social media is that it has turned the tolerated into the intolerable.

@6thairborne My wife's grandfather received "the first bottle of champagne back from France" from a returning glider pilot who he towed on D-Day. I've copies of the press photos taken at the time but sadly not been able to source the original newspaper article. @Hush_Kit @almurray @James1940

This was flying around the garden hedge. The flashes of orange on the underwings are quite surprising!

@AviationMarlene Only seen it once on active duty, parked at Cairo in 1990. Caught the preserved one at Musée de l'Air et de l'Espace the following year. Lovely machine.

A map showing the countries that operated "Caravelle", either on passenger routes or for cargo. For an aircraft produced in small numbers (282) and belonging to the first generation of civil jets, this is very impressive...

Trev Clark's Obscure Aviation History 🚁
Today, I'd hoped to be at @RAFMUSEUM Cosford to meet up with some old chums and enjoy a day of 'all things' Hawker Hunter. Unfortunately, my old 'war wound' prolapsed disc has flared up badly in the past few months, making a 3+ hour drive each way impossible. Bugger! 😡

@CJManson5692 @BicesterBob @CcibChris Thank you. I am far too old to do anything faddy, so my concern is purely historical accuracy. I've spent over half a decade being fascinated by aircraft and their markings, so spotting it is, perhaps, a little easier for me. I wish you well in your endeavours.

@teaselstudio1 @BicesterBob @CcibChris I just did a very, very close look at the original image, and I admit that I am wrong. However, I have come across far too many people claiming something is "AI" when it really isn't the case in the past simply because doing so is a fad.

@CarlBovisNature Feel free to use this image. It doesn't make sense to most trolls (especially those outside the UK) or bots, but gives one an enormous sense of satisfaction to read them try!

@Hush_Kit There are so many superb adaptions in the bird world. Check out a diving gannet, or the wing locks on an albatross, or the wing beats of a hummingbird, or the reflexes of a sparrowhawk. Birds are fascinating.

Don’t get me wrong, planes are great. But just watched a seagull land, that is some incredible control surface/propulsion stuff going on. And the wings & propulsion stow perfectly away for taxiing.

@BicesterBob @CcibChris National markings incorrect for period; squadron markings incorrect for period; serials illegible but all similar; cockpits all occupied by same indistinct character... need I go on?
