@StayAtHomeDev Worst thing was artists supposedly liked it because now their vision finally could be realized when normally their work has to be squeezed into normal game requirements. But if the standard was running on 2 5090s im pretty sure they could realize their vision in the 1st place

This constant push for fidelity and realism is going to destroy the industry. It can't be maintained and the returns are diminishing.

@matteo311 I’m not sure it makes the top 100 but Premium Bowling is great and actually flat / standalone VR / PCVR cross play. Not sure I ever saw a major YouTube channel cover it and it originally came out Quest 1 time period.

@StayAtHomeDev I see DLSS motion vectors is that the same thing as saying it supports DLSS4? Or would more need to be done to implement DLSS4 in a game on this fork?

@David_Jagneaux Also be sure to check ibuypower’s and MSI’s for that matter own sites for deals as well just in case. Ibuypower’s site lets you customize every part. For example, if you see a 5080 pc on their site for $300 off you can click on it, and then trade out other parts of the system.

Cactus Cowboy was using Replica Studio but since went out of business, for the in development title I'm currently using ElevenLabs. VR games don't work well with texts to read. You need concise voice samples for instructions and dialogs. No one wants to stand around and read txt in vr

I am very impressed with the progress of ElevenLabs 🤯 honestly try it if you haven’t, it is so scary in a good way at how great it is at composing music, converting text to speech, and so many other areas, definitely recommended especially how low latency is as it executes these tasks.

The one game I would kill for in VR is Metal Gear Solid...not even a remaster, if be happy with giving it the RE4 treatment like Armature, 😭, did for Quest. It already has a first person mode to some degree. And then follow it up with Sons of Liberty. 🙏

@vuntra_city Very cool. What do you think about maybe bundling whispercpp (MIT licensed) with it with fuzzy match so VR gamers could have option to speak dialogue options? If not 100 percent match, game picks highest match if over match threshold, if not NPC says “what?” or similar.

Implemented the NPC dialogue interaction in VR as well. This is probably not the final state of it, but for now I am moving on to the dialogue + personality + relationship system that I've planned for the NPCs.
