@Riot_SWAG i think the mid round waits are too long for this type of game mode - you dont need all 35 or 40 seconds to setup, especially because theres one site
i think reduce the time and maybe spawn closer to the site you are on?

since AR1S has been out for a bit now, how’s it landing for y'all?
we’ve been trying to move quicker with modes while still finding the line between polish and fun. AR1S was a test of that philosophy

if you double pika, they maintain a single prize board state
if you pika iron hands, they ohko iron hands and win the prize trade
using baby galvantula to take two kos seems good but they can always ko joltik early

Gholdengo is so hard to beat right now, you’re losing if you aren’t
A. Catching cheese (energy trap/wall)
B. Dedicated prize map (Gardy, Top end Zard, Top end Zoro/Darm)
Everything else just gets viciously destroyed, really the limiting factor for simple attacking decks.

I despise gholdengo, but the deck gained decent complexity with solrock/lunatone. It's an OHKO deck with a unique attribute of very strong prize manipulation. From a game design perspective, I think the opponent frustration comes from dengo having all 3 of the following: -Very hard to disrupt -"unavoidable" OHKOs -Fast enough to initiate prize trade

Couldn't have asked for a better start to my 2025-2026 competitive season. Ever since rotation hit back in April I've been playing this silly little Gardevoir Dudunsparce deck and somehow managed 3 consecutive Day 2's: Monterrey (31st/1620), Pittsburgh, and Milwaukee (23rd/2305)
