@shadcn Is there an easy way to migrate existing projects to themes from Create?

To get translucent menus right, we had to manually test components over different gradients & colors, checking visuals & accessibility. Now multiply that by 5 component types across 5 styles in both light and dark modes. It's a lot of work. Work that, for now, AI can't do.

You can now build translucent dropdown menus, selects, and comboboxes on shadcn/create. Mix in your custom styles, icons, fonts, and radii and build something different. Your own preset. All it takes is a few clicks.

@heyderekj @harvouscom Not sure if you have a reading mode, but if you do, clicking a verse number to see your notes you have on that verse would be sick. An older version of the BibleProject app had this for linking to their resources.

@teharmond @convex @vercel deployment issues are 90% env differences: 1) env vars set in dashboard? 2) build command matches local? 3) check node version 4) real clue is usually 10 lines above the crash in build logs.

Absolutely! Guiding principles were to add light-touch helps, but not to enable users to write their entire sermons using AI. Of course, if they want to do that, they can use another tool. But the company wanted to only build tools that could help remove friction from the writing process only when appropriate. Much of the sermon writing process—grappling with the text and its implications, prayer, etc., shouldn’t be automated. But some things, like finding the perfect quote or starting to think of illustrations, can be helped by AI. We provided tools that we felt were helpful without being heavy-handed.

Before joining Resend, I worked at a Bible software company on the team responsible for the sermon writing experience. We added AI features to some tools. There’s a lot of intentionality and thinking required when it comes to using AI in spiritual workflows. AMA.
