Hab heute einen Text von Gemini und ChatGPT analysieren lassen, auf Wirkung beim Empfänger, mögliche Reaktionen und die Stärke oder Schwäche von aufgeführten Argumenten usw. Die beiden kommen zu völlig unterschiedlichen Ergebnissen. ChatGPT fand den Text zu lang und ausführlich, aber den Text insgesamt stark. Gemini fand die Argumente stark und den Aufbau gut und nicht zu lang. Habe beide den Text nach ihrer Meinung verbessern lassen und den von beiden gegenseitig checken lassen. Das war wild. 🤣 Witzig wäre, wenn man das beide hätte direkt ausdiskutieren lassen.

@terrorobe the "extension" part isn't really the issue as much as all the backend stuff i'm adding.

i'm torn on the OSS part of knockoff.co i initially made it OSS because i figured i wouldn't really do much with the extension long-term (was literally a weekend project on a whim for something i needed). but now there's a LOT more stuff i've got in the works to expand functionality and it's increasingly making *less* sense to keep the whole thing fully open, mainly around making sure we don't give the less-than-legitimate brands an easy/obvious way to bypass detection algorithms. thinking of basically freezing the current repo to leave public for anyone to use with the basic name-heuristics-based detection, but then going forward the full app (that's becoming substantially more powerful) will be closed-source. i know folks have feelings around that, but just thinking out loud here on how to balance all of that.

Unpopular opinion: Dieses "FSD" wird noch sehr, sehr lange supervised, mit der vollen Verantwortung und Haftung (!) beim Fahrer bleiben. Von >Level2 kann Tesla nur feucht träumen... Das KBA muss sich das sehr genau anschauen, Tesla geht über Leichen!

Also, ChatGPT Desktop now comes with mandatory tool calling? Looks like Classic is no longer available for download and if you click the in-app "Download the new app" button the old one is gone for good. Welp, that's probably not survive enterprise security for very long.

@chacon Reached the point here where the upstream docs are just an additional information source when exploring a configuration/implementation detail.

I'm pretty impressed with how often I ask agents questions about a codebase. I've used it so m any times now to figure out some subtle question about a git implementation detail

Sadly @Ubiquiti has a really shitty fan-control for their "near-silent" Enterprise switches. But nothing #GPT5.6-sol can't resolve when given the firmware to reverse engineer. It patched the binary in place copied it back to switch and here we are.
