Politics as usual just doesn't cut it anymore.
Abbott has been taking our money to give to his donors and we aren't falling for it anymore.
By ending the Greg Abbott Corruption Tax, I will make health care more affordable, invest in neighborhood schools, and lower your costs.
Thank you, @dallasnews

Last week, voters heard directly from candidates in HD 71, HD 118, and HD 41 about the future of Texas public schools. We’ve pulled together these conversations so you can hear where candidates stand on the issues that matter to families, students, and educators.
Whether you’re in San Antonio, Abilene, or McAllen, now’s the time to get informed before Election Day. Watch the forum recap videos here:

.@JamesTalarico to Joe Rogan: My principal told me I was going to teach this kid named Justin, who had brought a knife to school. I told him I wanted to get to know him. We started to build a rapport. Right before winter break, he brought me this gift — a snowflake that he had bought at the Dollar Tree for his teacher.
I came back after winter break and heard this commotion. There were two of our coaches restraining Justin. That was the last time I ever saw him. Justin had been seeing a therapist provided by the school district, but because of budget cuts, the district had eliminated the therapist.
Adults he was trying to trust were abandoning him. That was the radicalizing experience for me. People at the state capitol had cut $5 billion from our schools. I promised myself that if I ever got power I would do everything I could to stop that. Justin and my students are the criteria I use to evaluate public policy.
@ErinForYall@RepMorales145 60 percent of our students are below grade level in math ,reading or both.Mississippi is number 1 in 4 th grade reading, but let's worry about walkouts.
Today, my colleagues and I sent a letter to TEA requesting clarification on the formal guidance issued in response to student-led demonstrations against ongoing ICE operations in our communities. #txlege#hd45

@leachfortexas@KoskionFOX7 60 per cent of our students are below grade level in math, reading or both. Why don't you give equal concern to this ongoing crisis.
Yes, I’m aware of the student walkouts scheduled to take place in various schools across HD67 and, yes, I have communicated directly with ISD leaders regarding what it could mean for their schools and students should those walkouts take place. While I support the First Amendment rights of all Texans to speak out, to peacefully protest, to assemble and to petition the government, any school district that allows or encourages students to walkout of school during a school day should be advised that such actions will come with serious sanctions, including a loss of funding, potential state intervention and takeover and likely removal and termination of school personnel who are found to be responsible. In addition to our educators being on high alert, all parents should talk to their kids about what it could mean for them and their classmates should the walkouts occur — and encourage other safer and more effective ways for their children to make their voices heard. In addition to this, we are also already working on legislation for next session that will crack down on and prevent this activity in the future — including possible criminal penalties for encouraging, aiding and abetting such walkouts.
Our Texas schoolchildren should be in their schools during the school day — not on the streets. And those schools exist for education - not indoctrination. Be assured that we at the state level will do whatever we have to do to make sure that goal is not interrupted or abated. #txlege

This campaign takes us back to our populist roots in Texas.
It’s all of us against a corrupt system that serves the billionaire class.
It’s time to take back Texas.

Abbott’s voucher scam sold out our kids and our neighborhood schools.
When I’m Governor I’ll end voucher giveaways and get back to basics.
It’s time to put 5.5 million Texas public school kids first.
I’ll be speaking to the Lindale Republican Club on Thursday, August 7th, and I’d love to see you there.
