“MZZL VELOX XTRCT” is the most recent artwork minted by @altgnon on Tezos, a single word represented in a mixed media glitchy visual loop. What does “Buck” mean without context? The caption “hold_state -> fade_event, signal returns to the field” accompanies the NFT and leaves the viewer further suspended in wonder. “I-N-T-E-R-L-U-D-E” is a collection on @objktcom, by @altgnon, that’s rooted in his fascination with the limitations of language. Like feelings just out of reach, fragmented words find their place within these visual compositions, letting the viewer discover their own messages. Partial letterforms within mixed media canvases. Workflow that involves digital manipulation. What appears abstract comes from a complex workflow filled with intentional decisions. This art showcases exactly why Artz Friday exists.
