The CDC during COVID recommended mask in enclosed environments with no air flow. 2-4 feet. But they also recommended not wearing a mask in an open fresh air environment. They encouraged the mask not be worn for prolonged periods because you were breathing your own fetid breath. Their number one recommendation was to use a HEPA filter fan to circulate and clean the air in enclosed areas. So, sitting down to eat with your mask off and putting it on while walking around was completely ass backwards. The virus itself was so small that it could pass through a mask as easy as throwing a handful of sand through a chain link fence. Vaccines prior to the mRNA gene therapy product (re labeled as a vaccine) that were based on attenuated viral components do help the immune system. Their mRNA gene therapy product was a failure in this regard because it down regulated the immune response system.

When someone coughs or sneezes, tiny microscopic bio-aerosols shoot into the air. Wearing a mask protects you from inhaling them. The vaccine builds your immune response. If you’re too dumb to understand that, that’s your problem, not Dr. Fauci’s.

One of the main guilty acts of Fauci is not the claim that he got the COVID origin wrong at first. It's that he and his Lancet crew fabricated a certainty about COVID's origins they plainly did not possess -- due to entirely self-interested reasons (namely, their careers and reputations would be endangered if COVID had been caused by gain-of-function and other Wuhan research they funded and participated it). They then weaponized that fake, deceitful certainty to label anyone who suggested a lab leak as a racist (which never made sense, since the "wet market" theory was always the more racist one), and then also used that non-existent certainty to bully and coerce media outlets and Big Tech to aggressively censor anyone questioning or dissenting from their proclamation. The complete shutdown of debate, discussion and dissent over some of the this century's most consequential policies was one of the main crimes. That they did this not out of good faith error but crass self-advancement and self-protection made it all the worse.
