BREAKING: The Senate passes #SB150, a Don’t Say Gay bill that ends all gender-affirming care for minors in Kentucky. SB 150 is the worst anti-trans bill in the nation. Trans & LGBTQ Kentuckians: your government failed you today, but we WILL keep fighting. You belong here.

16/ And listen—I know emotion looks a lot of ways. I also know that feeling is not only synonymous with tears. But. We must normalize emotions other than anger. So now? I stay. In the room. In the joy AND in the pain. Because we DO do that. Yeah. #humanismalways 💛

1/ I was sitting down doing some work in a quiet area at Grady one day and this little girl, who was with her grandma, walked right up to me and touched my stethoscope. Her: “Are you a doctor?” Me: “I sure am.” Her: “For real?” Me: “For real!” I handed her my stethoscope.

Medical schools should take care of their students. Medical training is stressful and expensive. Future doctors shouldn’t have to worry about healthcare insurance coverage. Medical schools need to do better. #MedTwitter
Maddie@maddie_mess

Our school just notified us that students cannot use Medicaid as their health insurance… so you’ll be required to pay for the school insurance if you don’t have a spouse/parent plan. Med school is exhaustingly expensive and a joke 😬

“If middlemen in health care actually saved money and improved outcomes, the U.S. wouldn’t have the most expensive and ineffective health care system in the world. We don’t need to put seniors through another failed experiment to prove this.” - Dr. @rgrsssn

It’s Public Health Week, so I picked up my first bystander Narcan! This nasal spray can be life-saving for someone experiencing an opioid overdose. If you’ve learned CPR, this is easier. Ask your pharmacist for availability and instructions. #normalizenarcan

Why has the United States handled this pandemic so badly? The Editors note that although we came into this crisis with enormous advantages, our current political leaders have demonstrated that they are dangerously incompetent.
