He knows the SSPX works regularly with the Dicastery of Clergy and accepts their decisions, he knows Bp Fellay was given a Canonical Ministry, he knows how the society has worked with the Vatican on a regular basis for decades, but he persists in advancing a lie. Why?

Whether you are a schismatic is not determined by whether you feel someone is traditional, orthodox, or rejects they are in schism. Schism is refusing submission to the Church's hierarchical leaders, i.e., the episcopal college united with the Pope. SSPX refuses to do so. QED.

If Rome is hoping that Tradition dies out, why is it allowing the FSSP and the Institute of Christ the King to exist? And Rome might be willing to give bishops to the SSPX if they would regularize, but they’re not doing it before.

The error in Fr. Pagliarani’s statement is not that he identifies real problems in the Church, but that he universalises those problems into a claim that the Church’s ordinary life no longer provides the means of salvation. That claim implicitly denies the Church’s indefectibility and creates the theological basis for a parallel, self-sustaining hierarchy.

The SSPX’s error is to treat episcopal consecration as an emergency mechanism for preserving Tradition, when in Catholic ecclesiology the episcopate is intrinsically ordered to communion with Peter. A bishop consecrated against the Pope’s will may be validly consecrated, but the act itself declares that the Society’s judgement of necessity can override the visible principle of Catholic unity.
