@yepyoureanidiot @AdamPippert @kenwheeler “Smart” people are so fucking stupid sometimes. None of what we enjoy exists without normies holding it up. I believe that’s what Ken is getting at.
English

@AdamPippert @kenwheeler Too dismissive? These are the same people who believe the earth is flat, god is real, and the Kardashians are entertaining. I have zero faith in normies.
English

@kenwheeler I saw a guy put $9.00 worth of gas (2.3 gallons) in his 4Runner yesterday and leave.

in episode 436 of me being consistently right, expect cooling economy driven job loss to be attributed to ai, and democrat platform shifting to saving you from it, with the entire thing given credibility by ai ceo’s not shutting the fuck up about taking jobs

Sanders on AI: We need to develop a sense of urgency of here. The economic impacts are going to be enormous. The impacts on our children will be enormous, and again, there is literally an existential threat to the existence of the human race.

@kenwheeler I quit three years ago by stepping down nicotine levels of vape juice every month or so. After 1 week of vaping 0mg juice it felt so fucking stupid it was easy to quit. Never under-estimate the power of feeling stupid.

i really can’t recommend not developing a nicotine addiction enough. i’m gonna die with a lip in.

@ryanflorence I was building several nextjs apps (v8 or v9?) behind a load balancer for different audiences rapidly as founding engineer and tacking PWA onto my existing web knowledge was trivial. Also, no wasted cycles learning App Store(s) while still ironing out PMF with a team of < 10.
English

@theJoeBiz Awesome, that’s the exact kind of app I’d want to build offline first.
How did you decide between PWA and native app?
English

@ryanflorence Can answer pages worth of questions that dynamically depend on each other for visibility offline and queue up pictures/video of property and it will just sync when you come back online. It’s a saas app, so don’t have a public link to share.
English

@ryanflorence My PWA use-case is for site surveyors in sometimes remote locations with weak cell and no WiFi (new properties). It’s a dynamic form system with all sorts of goodies like visibility rules and file upload fields. Workbox + Uppy provides an amazing experience...like a native app.
