Couple earning $500K/yr as a tech engineer and doctor are complaining about living paycheck to paycheck
The irony is that their definition of paycheck to paycheck is after maxing out 401K, HSA and IRA accounts
@theProtagony@BoringBiz_ Nah, HSA is a mandatory max if you have access to one. The cap is low, and it's the single most tax advantaged account one can have.
@theProtagony@Jeanc6584@BoringBiz_ the answer is they will always feel poor no matter what their cash flow is because they are delusional and only comparing themselves to people who make more than them or other people spending above their means
@Jeanc6584@BoringBiz_ Do you believe they have no room to optimize anything and should continue to feel like they are living paycheck to paycheck with the top 1% of earnings in the richest country on earth? My response is just as obtuse as yours.
@theProtagony@BoringBiz_ Maxing an HSA with 2 small children is not overkill. It is $8,750/year. Chances are they are in a high deductible plan and kids get sick frequently, need vaccines, wellness visits, annual physicals for mom and dad.
.@satyanadella I am begging you. take 10 minutes and try to use azure
microsoft is literally doing a disservice to mankind by putting this software into the world
set up an Oauth app, try to build something in the ms ecosystem
you need to see it to believe how bad it is
Petition: Release the full BGM of Dhurandhar 1 and 2. Too many amazing musical moments are lost in the song focused albums. Crime if they don't include Gehra Hua with the jazz insert.
I've been putting together my UX writing principles into a Claude skill called Righter.
It reviews UI copy against a set of rules plain language, active voice, no weakener words, reading level targets and rewrites it with a before/after and an ARI readability score. It also helps you pick the right component for error messages (toast vs alert dialog vs inline alert, etc.).
Just published it to GitHub: github.com/ommakes/Skills

It is 2026. People are vibe coding entire software companies in a weekend. Can the freaking dumb appliance companies just build me a microwave that doesn't beep? How hard is that *one* feature?
More garbage from @willowtv .
Apple TV app shows ad and promptly gets stuck with no button to exit. Then we have to restart the stream so ad again.
No other company can get away with such a substandard paid product. Fake monopoly needs to be removed or sold to ESPN
@mntruell Help rethink source control in the vibe coding era. Non-engineer friends are routinely coding, but get stuck in eng ceremonies. Especially git.
Imagine you run a tech company. You want your engineers to quit because they cost too much money and you can just vibe code now instead. You can't fire them or you might have to pay severance.
What "well intended" policy do you introduce to make them all quit?
I say I’m thinking of buying something. She immediately accuses me of wasting money.
She recounts every item that I may have gotten that didn’t quite pan out. I give her the highlight reel.
