I am building an AI social media tool that gets an image and generates a caption for your social media account. Funny how fast ai is moving. I first started building this app before openai gpt-4 vision model. I was using pytesseract in python to read text in the image then generate a caption based off that . Today, I'll be switching to GPT-4 vision model and experiment with that. I can do both image with and without text. Follow along if you're interested in seeing how I develop this project into something worth paying for.

Is it weird that my @starlink v3 terminal stopped working the day before the release of v5. Contacted support but got grok which supposedly submitted a ticket but didn't receive an email confirming that or any follow ups yet. My first real issue in like 5 years.
Sawyer Merritt@SawyerMerritt

SpaceX has just officially unveiled its next-generation @Starlink V5 terminal, featuring a much smaller lighter design. • Speeds up to 375+ Mbps • 50% more power efficient than V4 (V5 has an avg power consumption of just 35-50W) • 35% smaller dish than V4 • Dish weight: 2.4 lb (62% lighter than the V4) • 110° field of view (same as V4) • Software-assisted manual orientation (same as V4) • IP67 Type 4 weather resistance (same as V4) • Operational wind resistance up to 165 mph (vs 60 mph+ rated for V4) • Snow melt capability up to 40 mm/hour (1.6 in/hour) (same as V4) • Operating temperature: -30°C to 50°C (-22°F to 122°F) (same as V4) • LED status indicator integrated into the dish (V4's primary status indicator is on the router) • Includes Router Mini with Wi-Fi 6 • Dual-band 2×2 MU-MIMO • Two 1 Gbps RJ45 Ethernet ports • Wi-Fi coverage up to 2,200 sq ft • Supports up to 235 connected devices • Mesh compatible with Starlink Gen 2 Router, Gen 3 Router, Router Mini, and Starlink Mini • Includes a 15 m (49.2 ft) Starlink cable • Includes a 2 m (6.6 ft) Ethernet cable • Includes a 1.5 m (4.9 ft) power cable • Includes a pipe adapter, power supply, Router Mini stand, and kickstand.

To celebrate the launch of GPT-5.6 Sol, we will reset the rate limits again (twice) across ChatGPT Work and Codex over the next 24 hours. We want you to have the time to truly try ambitious tasks and get the hang of it. Happy exploring!

Ai race is heating up. I have 3 different subscriptions: ChatGPT, Claude, and Cursor. All $20 per month plan. Have been switching back and forth using fable, gpt 5.5 (now will try 5.6 models), and cursor's composer 2.5 now grok 4.5 models. I want to stick with one. I'm tending towards cursor. Grok is capable for the work I'm doing and I still get access to the other frontier models. The only thing keeping me back is writing. I haven't tested grok for writing, which I use chat/Claude for. Neither cursor for creating presentations which I use Claude for.

Prediction: Because of all the coding model releases this week anthropic would be forced to keep Fable 5 in their subscription or to release Opus 5. Or they'd be loosing money to other labs.

i lwk dont understand it. why tf do people say, yo this model is bad, it "cant make a good lava lamp" like "oh no, the pelican doesn't look as good as the opus one, it's over"
BridgeMind@bridgemindai

Grok 4.5 is NOT on the same level as Claude Opus 4.7. Check out the BridgeBench lava lamp test. Claude Opus 4.7 produces far better UI designs compared with Grok 4.5. Grok 4.5 is a significant jump compared with Grok 4.3, but not on the same level as Opus 4.7.

That's exactly the point people keep missing in the sugar debate. Complex carbs are very different from simple carbs. Whole-food carbohydrates come with fiber, which slows the absorption of glucose into the bloodstream and provides a steadier source of energy between meals. Refined carbs, on the other hand, have little or no fiber and are often stripped of many nutrients. That's why products made with refined white flour are often enriched by law. Whole grains, fruits, and vegetables are not the same as processed carbs.
@levelsio@levelsio

For me it's the opposite: simple carbs make me tired and lethargic and bloated A big misconception is that only starches like rice, bread and potatoes are carbs But vegetables and fruit ARE carbs too! Berries are carbs! A banana is carbs! Brussels sprouts are carbs! But they're even better carbs called complex carbs You can literally just skip simple carbs (like white rice, regular bread and poatoes) and only eat complex carbs and you'll feel better because you'll have more stable energy levels with less blood sugar spikes, reduced risk of diabetes, heart disease Combine that with protein from good meat and you have most nutrients covered!

A total of 375,000 new minivans were sold in the U.S. in 2025. Americans bought nearly 9 million SUVs. Minivans are no doubt the most practical family vehicle you can buy, but most people want SUVs. A true full-size 3-row SUV makes more financial sense for Tesla to sell than a minivan.
Matt Brezina 🌳 🌊@brezina

Why won’t Tesla just make a dang minivan! Sliding passenger doors, adult-sized rear seats, TRUE fold-flat rear seats. They are truly the best suburban family vehicle. I want a FSD van. Ideally gasoline hybrid electric. Who is building this?
