@PedanticKilljoy @theodorebeers @JoePostingg Except you would be wrong. Where have you seen a single prominent person say “it’s good that Charlie Kirk is dead.” On the contrary, every left of center politician or commentator has said “I don’t like him or his opinions, but no one deserves to be shot.”

It does, but it kinda doesn't. The thing that really broadly matters going forward is that so much of the left reacted to the killing *as if it was one of their own guys who took out a hated enemy.* So yeah, if it turns out if it was a groyper, that matters in the sense that now we know that political divisions on the right are superheated to the point of exploding, but the right can still point the finger at the left and say, "You want us dead because of our beliefs," and they wouldn't be wrong.

So they're definitely going to keep blaming the left even if the killer is aega groyper right?

Because the right thing to say or acceptable to western society is “yes, I would have lied” But with your “gift” hypothesis it allows more honesty without the weight of a big thing like the holocaust. You can build from small hypothetical and still get to your point. Peterson knew that in order to make HIS point he would have to say, “no I wouldn’t lie in this situation and tell the Nazis Im hiding Jewish ppl” or give a free card to the kid by saying “off course I would lie” Although there is no way he knows what he would have done. None of us know. Most humans are unremarkable and gullible. Anyways, I’ll give you that Peterson lost point in this round because he didn’t articulate why it was intellect gymnastics to answer that question

Atheist to Jordan Peterson “ If you lived in Nazi germany, and you were hiding Jewish people, would you lie to save their lives?” Jordan Peterson “I would never put myself in that position!” How did millions of millennial men think this guy was smart?

Jamie Dimon on tariffs in Jan: "If it’s a little inflationary but it’s good for national security, so be it. Get over it." Dimon now: "The quicker this issue is resolved the better because some of the negative effects increase cumulatively over time & would be hard to reverse."

BREAKING: Vanguard emails clients asking them to “resist the urge to deviate from [their] financial plan” as markets fall sharply. Vanguard is asking clients not to take money out of the market. How’s that for a sentiment check?

It's "reciprocal tariffs on reciprocal tariffs" week: After imposing tariffs on 185 countries at ONCE, we expect retaliation this week. The US stock market has lost $11.1 TRILLION in 44 trading days, equivalent to ~38% of US GDP. Here's what you need to know. (a thread)

@KobeissiLetter This is a desperate move on the part of Vanguard. Why would anyone listen to such obvious conflicted interest?:

@griefandsolace @KobeissiLetter What are you talking about? If you stayed the course in 2008 you would’ve recovered all your losses in 6 months. So, unless you were somehow 100% stocks in the year you were retiring and for some reason needed your entire nest egg in year 1 of retirement, you were fine.

Oh, of course. The same lullaby they sing every time the market starts convulsing lol. “Don’t deviate.” “Stay the course.” “It’s just volatility.” Notice how the message never changes even when the world does. They said the same thing in ‘08. Right before portfolios halved and retirement plans disintegrated like ash in the wind. Now it’s 2025. The world’s on fire again. Liquidity’s vanishing. Derivatives are cracking. Nations are (and have been) prepping for war. But sure—hold the line, peasant. We promise this collapse is temporary. Let me stress: It’s not advice. It’s preservation. For them, not for all of us. They’re hedged. we're hanging cause we're "just retail and retail is stupid." at least thats the philosophy it feels like. HECK ANYONE REMEMBER THE SEC COMMERCIAL ABOUT "MEME STOCKS"?! So nah, Vanguard—maybe some of us SHOULD deviate. and it's not because of fear, but because blind trust is how we got gutted last time. ya'll can do what you want but I’m not going hungry to be obedient.

@stockdatamarket @KobeissiLetter Vanguard’s standard advice is to not react to ups and downs in the market. Look at anything they said about the 2008 downturn and you’ll get the same message.

@the_litlp @MattBruenig Describing disagreeableness, bravery, and self confidence as sociopathy is a very odd take. Our modern world depends on people who push forward when others won't.

What’s actually consistent is UN’s rank, pervasive antisemitism. I reject this report in its entirety. I look forward to voting for @RepStefanik to continue a strong and unapologetic pro-Israel position.

Imagine being an 18 year old young male voter. When you were 11, the MeToo movement launched and men across the board like you were deemed oppressors. When you were starting high school, liberal politicians closed your school and forced you to take classes online. The women around you don't seem like victims -- they are going to college at way higher rates, earning far more than men in many professional white-collar jobs, and are way less likely to be addicted to drugs and as lonely as most of the guys you know. Your peer group of other young men play video games and enjoy memes mocking the dominant, suffocating, woke culture across all the major entertainment and academic institutions. How is voting for the establishment Democrat who avoided any voting process or scrutiny for her nomination in any way appealing?

@Sturgeons_Law It’s funny cause in corporate speak, “opportunity” is a nice way of saying something is wrong. Like, bosses will say “we need to talk about your opportunity areas”
