@thebarwithmb @ChrisMoran_101 @KarlTurnerMP @SamCoatesSky I know we’re hearing a lot from the Bar but from a solicitor standpoint everyone has a horror story from the magistrates. Be it dodgy reasons given or a lack of disclosure. It’s not a vehicle fit for any trial where custody is an option.

This is my point entirely when I told @SamCoatesSky Leveson has done some work but Ministers have done NONE. Ministers have been too eager to ignore what’s actually going on in the criminal justice system. These proposals are utterly ludicrous and I am sorry it’s us doing it.
