Earlier today, I joined the Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. @Thomas_Tayebwa as he officiated the groundbreaking ceremony of the African Women in Processing (AWIP) factory at MMP Park, in Buikwe District. This is a significant moment for Buikwe, becoming the destination for such a transformative investment. This is development that will not only create entrepreneurial spaces for women, but also open doors to skills development, market access, and sustainable income opportunities. By piloting industrialization with women at the center, we are laying the foundation for inclusive growth that empowers women in the industrialization sector and strengthens our community. I thank our investors for bringing this transformative project to Buikwe and creating real opportunities for women to thrive and lead in industrial development.

Chinese Ambassador H.E. Zhanglizhong witnessed the groundbreaking of the first Women's Industrial Park in Munyonyo among the planned 7 parks in Uganda. It is a testament to fostering economic development and women empowerment in Uganda.
