6-year-old: What are you talking about?  Rose: Mommy and daddy are talking about work. We're talking about one of our clients.  6-year-old: I thought I'm your only client.

Over the years, @PeteButtigieg has had many viral media moments, but I think this might be his best. It's the most authentically angry and impassioned that I have seen him, and that's what voters who are banging their heads against a wall about the state of affairs want to see.

Joe Kernen comes close to having a coronary on air as Pete Buttigieg dogwalks him all over the Squawk Box studio about Trump's economic mismanagement and inflation

The University of Michigan has been measuring consumer sentiment since 1952. We just got the first Iran-afflicted measure for April, and it's at the lowest level ever recorded.

This must be what it feels like when your better half subtweets you, pointing out (correctly!) that it'll be a while before we know what the Iran War does to core inflation.
Betsey Stevenson@BetseyStevenson

Core inflation excludes food and energy, it’s too soon for those prices to be impacted by the Iran war, but that doesn’t mean they won’t be. Higher energy prices ultimately effects the cost of making and transporting many things.

An eye-popping 0.9% *monthly* rise in the CPI was driven mainly by rising energy prices. Core inflation rose a more sedate 0.2% in March.

Artemis II launched on April 1 to fly around the Moon and back, traveling farther than any human has ever gone. They’ll splash down in the Pacific Ocean around 8:07pm ET on April 10. We can’t wait to welcome them back to our little oasis in space. 🫶

Right now you’re largely experiencing the economy from a time when the Strait of Hormuz was open, because it takes many weeks for oil tankers to traverse the seas. You still experience the Strait as open, even though it’s been closed for weeks. But once that reality hits…

Paradox: If you see a baby located 90 light-years from Earth, right now it would be a 90-year-old, but you see it in your present, as a baby. While the light takes time to reach you, the baby grows and ages. When you look at the universe, you are always looking at the past.

The Artemis II team did photography training and dry runs for moon pass-by with an inflatable moon. Victor Glover said these practice runs completely changed how he understood importance of the mission. Christina Koch wanted to “tell a story” and share the “awe and grandeur.”
