@BraedendotTECH I feel this too. Hate to admit it, but AI psychosis has been a problem for me. I think sometimes you just have to walk away for a while. Touch grass, that kind of thing.

I'm 33 and I think Claude Code is melting my brain. For 6 months straight I've had 5-6 terminals open at once, waiting on responses just to smash "enter" 90% of the time. That's the whole job now. And it's doing something to me. A few friends and I keep circling back to the same thing in conversations: none of us feel as sharp as we used to. Maybe it's just us. But I keep wondering how many other people in their 30s feel it too. (And yeah: this is a me problem, how I lean on the tool, not the tool itself. Doesn't make the effect any less real.)

@ryanburge This is fascinating, and yet I do think generally speaking it suggests that my own life experiences regarding this kind of thing are accurate. However, was the survey done in such a way to truly capture the essence of Christianity in the US today?

The average member of a mainline church is a political moderate. The average mainline pastor is left of center. This is an empirical fact. I will make this point over and over again until it sinks in.

@LilaGraceRose Glad to hear that there was a good outcome. It’s sad that people could so callously wish death on an innocent child

BREAKING: A same-sex couple is suing their surrogate for $600K after she refused to abort their baby at 22 weeks in Canada. Scans indicated the child had a cleft lip and a possible heart defect. The little boy was born healthy. That child is alive today not because of the men who purchased his life, but because the woman who carried him in her womb protected him. Children are not commodities. Ban surrogacy now.

Yesterday, we made GPT-5.6 Sol Ultra generally available. Today, we're sharing that it produced a proof of the 50-year-old Cycle Double Cover Conjecture using 64 subagents in just under one hour. We're sharing the prompt and proof below. We're excited to see what you all do with Ultra!

If Fable is a lot better than GPT 5.6 and Fable/Mythos are months old, then what might @AnthropicAI 's latest models be like? Can anyone catch up? Or does the recursive nature of these models mean the race is already won?

@AlexFinn I've always had usage issues with Claude. I've found that OpenAI is my workhorse because I hit limits using Claude much faster. Looking forward to seeing how capable 5.6 is and hoping it's a tangible step up from 5.5

Tomorrow ChatGPT 5.6 sol launches. Early reviews are saying it's incredible I've been using Fable 5 for the past 30 mins on extra usage. I've burned close to $150 of credits Completely unsustainable GPT 5.6 is OpenAI's biggest opportunity ever to overtake Anthropic Fable is a fantastic model, but economically makes 0 sense at all I can't think of a single persona who is going to use this model on API costs. Average people won't spend thousands. Enterprises are already cutting off Opus usage for being too expensive. If early reviews are accurate and not just hype, I think OpenAI will lead both consumer and enterprise by the end of the month And this isn't even taking in account the fact that apparently this will be on Cerebras, meaning we could get the top tier intelligence at speeds we've never seen before Tomorrow is going to be an absolutely epic day. Start clearing your calendar now. A model will release that could potentially flip the entire AI race on its head.

@erikthesmith You're 100% right. You can tell if people haven't traveled to other countries, particularly 3rd world countries. There's graffiti in Pompei that says something like, "the world is terrible and going to hell." I think people have been feeling similarly for all of time.

I hear all the time from older people, "The world is just getting worse and worse. It's never been this bad in the world." Two suggestions: 1. Read a history book. Any history book. Pick a country; doesn't matter. 2. Read Genesis 6.

@mattshumer_ It's crazy to think that Fable/Mythos have existed for months now! If @OpenAI 's latest model isn't even at Fable levels yet, then just how good are @AnthropicAI 's latest models? I might speculate that they are really really good....

I had early access to GPT-5.6 Sol. It’s an amazing model, but for almost every task I tested, Fable was quite a bit better, and more agentic to boot (one Fable turn does the same thing many 5.6 turns do). Full review coming on launch day!

AI lowkey fucked up my productivity in a way I didn’t expect and I’m not sure how to feel about it. On any given day: I code more than ever. I ship features faster than ever. I do more marketing than ever before. I even make slightly more money than before. Yet, I feel like I have achieved nothing at the end of the day. I go to bed lots of times lately feeling unaccomplished. There’s this lingering thought of I could’ve done more. Run more agents in parallel, run them while I’m eating, while being in the gym, heck they should do work while I sleep! You get the gist. It sometimes drives me nuts lol I remember days pre AI where I’d work on a feature for an entire week (that now takes me less than a day) and still go to bed feeling great and happy. Now, there’s seemingly never enough. What do I do to fix this? Anyone else having similar feelings?
