Her parental rights were completely and permanently terminated in dependency court. She is legally barred from having any contact with the child ever again.
The child is currently safe and has been officially adopted by his maternal grandmother.
So while the criminal justice system completely dropped the ball by only giving her two years of house arrest, the family court at least stepped in and made sure she can never get her hands on that kid again.
