@IsaTired @bigboybokchoy I think most women do not go there. It depends on the country too. But in the West it’s often a sausage fest where people encircle the same 2 women present.

@thenightfly78 @bradtherambler @agraybee Gen Z ended in the early 2010s. I get you feel different than someone born that late, I do too, but that doesn’t make them not Gen Z.
English

@themelodicrage @bradtherambler @agraybee Maybe 18/19. The kids in high school now are too culturally distinct. I’m was born in 03 and have more in common with friends born in the late 90s than I do my brother born in 07.
English

@robynsun_love @thenightfly78 @bradtherambler @agraybee He’s exaggerating imo I’m also born in ‘03 and I’m a late college student so I’m in classes with a lot of younger zoomers and it’s fine.
English

@thenightfly78 @themelodicrage @bradtherambler @agraybee as an 03 baby with no social life this is making me kind of scared to go back to school now lmao 😭

@mkelovik @midwest_it_girl @vanillavillan93 Insane how you miss the point that hard in service of elites who do not gaf about you
English

@midwest_it_girl @vanillavillan93 « it’s sad that i can’t afford something way more luxurious than i need working an easy job »

Just watching Marty Supreme and the fact that this was ever an argument is incredible

@TobyOnnist5 @DevEthos You taking it as an attack on white people says more about you than him
English

@TobyOnnist5 @DevEthos What? Lmao the video about how cosmic horror naturally looks and behaves differently from different perspectives. That’s it. He didn’t say white people can’t make good cosmic horror he said white people can struggle to understand what makes non-white-centered cosmic horror good.
English

When I see people make broad generalizations about black horror usually due to their ignorance and not being able to understand the subject matter, I recall this video explaining how gender and race can change how a genre is portrayed and why it is important to have that diversity.
StillDevonTracey@TheXReportCard
Black Horror is nothing more than revenge porn against Whites
English

@tissue24577 @DevEthos Most widely relatable does not equal best. Many of these concepts are mutually exclusive and trying to do them at the same time would ruin the point of them
English

@DevEthos The best cosmic horror film will have to be the one that fits all these demographics.

@abbe_farria @rrreadsbooks No, she went from making an anti-AI argument to clarifying that just because co-authoring is better than using AI doesn’t mean it’s perfect. We live in a capitalist system the economy is literally built on exploitation. And yet, it is ethically better to co-author than to use ai.
English

@rrreadsbooks You went from making a case pro "co-authouring" to against when you couldn't defend the no royalties aspect of this arrangement.

James Patterson literally puts their names on the cover. “James Patterson” is more or less a brand now. The authors who are “partnering” with him on these books are getting their names out there through his visibility. Which is way more than most ghostwriters get. Next argument.
Josh Daws@JoshDaws
James Patterson is one of the biggest selling authors of all time. He’s had over 100 NYT bestsellers and cranks out 10-15 books a year. He pretty much admitted he writes an outline and has assistants write a draft which he polishes. Nobody questions if those are really his books. So explain to me why using AI the same way is cheating. telegraph.co.uk/culture/books/…

@JulianaConz @MattZeitlin “How the Irish became white”
“Became white”
Remmick’s story is literally an allegory for how the Irish became white. Remmick is white. The vampirism is an allegory for whiteness. Stop being pretentious when your point is purely semantic
English

@MattZeitlin The moment you say Remmick was "white" we can tell you didn't understand Sinners at all. I'd suggest looking for videos talking about the significance of the IRISH vampire, the meaning and historical context of the songs he sang and read this:

English

@minervas_muse @MattZeitlin Smoke and Stack are capitalism. Sammy’s dad is Christianity. All are false prophets leading to damnation. Only nationalism liberates (according to the film)
English

@LanceZierlein @LateNightFF @JayDanielsMVP Yeah i probably wouldn’t either. I definitely agree it’s corny but as you also said, my point is that it’s harmless
English

I went and I didn't. Many Americans and visitors didn't. However..... there definitely were some who did and there are rentals all over Kyoto and other more traditional spots. It's definitely not meant to mock. Our Japanese guide said he cringes a little when he sees it but he's not offended in the least.
English

@by_joseA @sum1saiditinnit Obviously hindsight here but I think Coogler is funded regardless. Black Panther got him funded, taking that funding and using it to create something so premier and unique but also commercially successful is the best possible outcome even if not best picture
English

@sum1saiditinnit Very true, only want it that way, cause I want Coogler to win big, and he gets funded for the next decade or two . Director chip would be historic.
English

@0LDB0UL @MattBlakeStan @sum1saiditinnit I have yet to see Bugonia but I’m a huge Jesse Plemons fan and you’re making me wanna lock in
English

@MattBlakeStan @sum1saiditinnit He, Jesse Plemons, and Aidan Delbis were all robbed at gunpoint
English

@LateNightFF @JayDanielsMVP Literally everybody goes to Japan and wears a kimono man white people do this 24/7 lol stop tryna make an issue out of nothing
English

@JayDanielsMVP No one is mad this dude is mocking another country’s culture?
Imagine if Drake Maye went to Africa to mock the indigenous people
