@kendrickt86 @summ116 @catrn55 @keithedwards Your observed perception is interesting and makes you appear like an armchair expert. I grew up Amish and we 100% did vaccinate livestock and animals. I also lived in 5 settlements... .... But sure go on.. some Amish do. Some don't.

Today: I was in the line for early voting. The woman who got in line behind us was middle-aged, by herself, and was breathlessly asking which line was correct. She smiled shyly and said “this is my first time voting.” Donald, you’re going to lose.

@GarbageHuman24 This is not true. It's an overgeneralized statement & misleading. My Amish cousin almost died from type 1 diabetes, I have multiple cousins who as children w/ diagnosed as autistic. I know Amish children to diagnosed & who died from cancer. Please understand overgeneralizing.

@RedBeardVaper79 @hisgaldeb @BlackKnight10k They file taxes. I know some affluent Amish would say it was cheaper to not file taxes and get penalized by the IRS , but the 5 Amish communities I lived in did generally file taxes, and yes this was even in the 1990's .

180k new Amish voter registrations sounded pretty suspect for a state that only has a population of less than 100k Amish people

@ATrickledown Yes, and that always leaves me with the complicated question of *how does this benefit the actual victims of these crimes?* I can't answer that, because I am not them. But I have pondered on this for years now.

@saor_chroi @BlackKnight10k Yes, and I lived in 5 settlements. I believe in the settlements I lived in 2/5 voted, if that makes sense. You're right that it can be heavily discouraged as well.

@themisfitamish @BlackKnight10k I will say, I know the men to vote on local taxes, etc., but not politicians. They were/are very strict about that. But I can only speak from the community I was raised in.
