Russell Westbrook had a 36.5’’ max vertical. Over the past two years the following key NBA draft prospects had a 36’’ vertical or less: Cooper Flagg, Ace Bailey, Collin Murray-Boyles, and even Dylan Harper was only 36.5’’ vert. This is a pretty good number for Keaton Wagler — a player people have some athletic concerns about after no dunks this year at Illinois.

I have my bar license in California. Arkansas does not have reciprocity with California, so I can’t be admitted to Arkansas without taking a bar exam. However, Texas allows California attorneys to become licensed in Texas without taking a bar exam there. And then Arkansas has reciprocity with Texas. So a California-licensed attorney can become licensed in Arkansas without ever taking the Arkansas (or any other) bar exam again by first obtaining a Texas license via admission without examination and then using Arkansas’s admission-on-motion process.

If I’m Ryan Smith, I’m not paying a premium to move from 2 to 1 for AJ Dybantsa. As much as the Jazz may want him, there's not enough difference between AJ and Peterson to justify trading away talent. Not when there’s a chance he falls to Utah anyway. If Washington wants Darryn Peterson, they’ll call. And if they call, it means they think they can trade down, let Utah take AJ, and still get their guy. If they do call, I'm not making a trade, but I'm feeling more secure about the chance of getting AJ after all. I doubt that Washington would trade lower than number two (maybe 3). There's too much of a talent drop-off.

@RaminNasibov The last samurai existed into the 1870s, Lincoln was assassinated in 1865, and early fax technology (the "printing telegraph") was patented in 1843. This creates a 22-year window (1843–1865) where President Lincoln could have received a fax from a samurai.

The Hornets are viewed as a potential trade-up candidate in the lottery. Charlotte has picks at Nos. 14 and 18 already with a now strong young core. Charlotte is one major move at center away from being a contender, and Aday Mara could become a much-needed big in their system.

24-hour, 3-day, and 7+ day fasts cut fat but keep you fat. Your metabolism downregulates - you're stuck doing them forever to sustain results. To make progress, you have to cut calories even more. Instead of choking your metabolism for life, train it to handle more food.

@drmarlonperalta Right. Before Reta I fast 3 days a week. I thought I could stop that. It looks like Reta will help me not crave ice cream & pizza smashing. If I just continue to fast three days a week. I will have steady weight loss.

I have a controversial pivot for the Nets in the wake of these two back to back disappointing lotteries. My whole plan for now is maximizing future draft capital by any means necessary. To that end I’d do two things: 1. Trade Michael Porter Jr. 2. Take on Joel Embiid’s contract. The Nets have nothing but time now. Waiting out Embiid’s contract is no problem for them, their whole team is cheap and they’re not contending next year anyway short of some Hail Mary we don’t currently see. If he happens to give you some fun stretches? Cool. Bonus. Really, he’s the matching salary in my star trade(s) in two years once he’s expiring, and a path to extracting picks out of Philly now. I’m just trying to accumulate such a cartoonish amount of future draft capital that I can get outbid for whoever the guy is in 2028 or 2029 by absolutely nobody. I’m developing the young guys, seeing what I have, and trying to be semi-competitive. But the real play here is preparing to grab the next guy or guys who want to be in New York, and the best path to doing that is just shameless pick accumulation, even if it means taking on a contract that would destroy the books for most teams. I just find that a more productive use of my space than anything else immediately visible on the board.

Someone who is a basketball expert explain to me like I’m 7, why AJ Dybantsa who is the most athletic wing prospect ever with a 7-foot wing span, had 12 total blocks all season. That athleticism only applies on offense?
