This is the Malcolm Gladwell school: "you thought that A causes B, and in fact society has even named it the A causes B phenomenon, but what if I told you that actually C causes B!" But C causing B never ends up being a much deeper or more holistic explanation. It has to fit in the current chapter after all.

@CynicalPublius Sorry I don't follow. After zoning out, I ordered a 4000 calorie slop bowl with extra seed oils for $34 (including tip). It arrived cold but I ate it anyway.

Cereal is really hard too. First you have to open the box without ripping the inner bag, then you need a clean bowl and spoon, then you have to pour the cereal in the bowl without pouring any on the ground, then you have to find MILK of all things and pour it over the cereal (Skim? 1%? 2%? Full fat? OMG, too many choices), which can be hard with those heavy gallon containers. After you eat it, then you have to clean a bowl and a spoon, which requires a sink, water and very expensive dish soap, and then what do you do with all that extra cereal and milk? Just throw it out? I mean, who wants cereal or milk in opened containers? So wasteful. Give me a soggy DoorDash breakfast burrito any day.

Some reasons why cooking is overwhelming for many: -To cook each cuisine requires different base set of spices, staples, etc -Popular recipes often include obscure, expensive ingredients -Purchasing exact item amts often not possible -Utilizing rest of perishable food challenging

I love how every article like this is like, "Hi, I'm a disabled, transgender anchor baby whose family's existence was drain on American taxpayers. I hate children and my sexual fetish is watching homeless drug addicts writhing in their own feces on the sidewalk so I love the status quo here in LA. Anyway, please vote for the candidate that will allow me to keep pleasuring myself to the sight of living corpses on our streets."

@bumbadum14 The most important Jew sitting on the opposite side of all of these issues is/was George Soros. He's explicitly antizionist and implicitly anti Jewish.

Again. I will ask. Please substantiate how specifically zionists, not just any jew, but specifically zionists are the reason for CAA, CWA, NEPA, and NAFTA which all lead to our deindustrailization. Someone explain to me how SPECIFICIALLY ZIONISTS were behind the ideological framing that lead to Leftwing AGs letting people out endlessly and destroying our cities. Someone explain to me how specifically ZIONISTS forced changes in lot size regulatory code locking young Americans out of an affordable housing market, or zoning, or literally fucking any governmental regulatory function that has directly contributed to the issues we face today.

You are going insane dude. Dying on the hill of a guy who accomplished nothing in 14 years because he had the "courage" to grift off being antisemitic (Only after it became popular to do so after Oct 7th) gets you nothing. I want Israel out of our politics as much as you do but Massie is a total failure, Rand Paul has completely abandoned him. The dude tanked any ability to be effective so he could be come a podcaster.

I don't know how many videos I've seen in the last 2.5 years of university kids and influencers chanting about no Zionists on campus, comparing Zionists to Nazis and going all in on zog theory. She has fellow Democrats obsessing over the "Epstein class" and AIPAC controlling politics. The bridge from all that to "internment for Zionists" is very short. We knew where this rhetoric leads. Better late than never but the leopards have come to eat faces.
Rachel Moiselle@RachelMoiselle

Very interesting that AOC has described the statement about ‘American Zionists’ as antisemitic. It of course is undoubtedly antisemitic, but it’s interesting that AOC has acknowledged it as such. She could have (disingenuously) framed it as politically motivated hatred, as has been the standard line in the past, but she didn’t. She specifically affirmed it is antisemitic. This is a very clear recognition by AOC that ‘anti-Zionist’ rhetoric can sometimes be nothing more than naked antisemitism. A positive development from the political left, and one that I wish to see in an Irish context.

A healthy society recognizes the early whispers of Jew-hatred and stamps them out before they metastasize into calls for concentration camps. The vilification of Zionism and Zionists is no exception. For decades, segments of the Western left have advanced this under the banners of “anti-fascism,” solidarity with minorities, and intersectionality, while quietly recasting Jews as part of the “privileged” oppressor class, undeserving of the usual protections against bigotry. What was once downplayed or excused has now escalated. A decade after figures like Linda Sarsour helped lead the Women’s March, amid repeated controversies over antisemitism and exclusion of Zionists, we see Democratic congressional candidate Maureen Galindo openly calling for turning an ICE detention center into a “prison for American Zionists,” complete with grotesque references to castration for “pedophiles, which will probably be most of the Zionists.” This is not fringe rhetoric anymore; it’s a candidate in a major party primary. Societies that tolerate the slow normalization of such hatred against Jews; whether through “antizionism” as a fig leaf or selective blindness to who counts as a victim, risk repeating history’s darkest chapters. Early vigilance isn’t paranoia. It’s the bare minimum for moral sanity.

Thank you, Mr. President, for calling off the attack on Iran tomorrow. You need to save summer for American families who can't afford plane tickets and now can't afford a road trip. Bombing Iran is like throwing sand in the ocean to stop the tide coming in. If their country was reduced to rubble, they'd just shrug and make rockets with rocks. No one cares about Iran. We care about cheap energy and peace. Work backwards from there and we will come out on top. Trust me on this one!
