Today is the feast of St. Benedict, so I think of the great saint Benedict, the founder of monasticism and one of the central figures in civilization, especially in Christian history. I also think of Pope Benedict the XV, the pope during the first World War, and I think of Pope Benedict XVI! @thegnewsroom

Journalist Cari Champion said it was "disrespectful" to black people to suggest that Clark is being assaulted because she is white.
Champion: "To suggest that it is intentional or that people are being racist towards her leaves out a long history of women who have supported this league and started this league who were black. It's very disrespectful to them."

My mom got a bad feeling one day and ran out back to find my little brother hanging by the neck from a rope he got caught in when he jumped off the back porch.
My mother in law appeared to my wife in a dream and told her how she was murdered and where to find the body - it turned out to be true.
The police who found her where we said to look told us it happens more than you’d think

One night well after midnight in July 1990 I drove a Jeep off a cliff in the Montana woods, landed upside down in a creek, but miraculously survived. Around six in the morning I got home from the ER. My answering machine was blinking. Four messages from my mother in Minnesota, increasingly frantic, demanding that I call her -- the first call time stamped just minutes after the accident. I called her. She picked up instantly. "Oh my god, you're okay," she said before I could speak. "I dreamed you were lying bleeding in a ditch and I couldn't get to you."

I dreamt that a friend of mine was rotting away as he spoke to me, so I called him when I woke up and got lunch with him. I relayed the dream to him, and asked if he had relapsed on heroin. He said no his life was great, then 5 mo later I ran into him again and he said “I lied to you. I had relapsed and you scared me sober again.”
