This was a year after the utter collapse of the Vietnam War and two years after Watergate so it wasn’t a stellar time for America on paper but it didn’t stop the celebration!

My parents were at the 1976 Bicentennial at Valley Forge and have told me my whole life how big of a deal it was Tons of people came, covered wagons that ACTUALLY traveled from every state with parades 250th doesn't feel as big. It was a different country

🇺🇸 A woman allegedly threatened a family on Facebook, got mad when they didn’t reply, then literally showed up at their house and started shooting while kids were inside. It only stopped because her gun jammed. Pure insanity.

@creation247 @elonmusk Accomplishment creates fulfillment, stuff often is the residue of accomplishment. There is no fulfillment in stuff and unnecessary leisure can be counted for in the stuff category as well.

Literally everything. But I think people misunderstand the Catholic Church on purpose. Because all the people who decided to research Christianity end up becoming Catholics. Catholics who research Catholicism become even stronger Catholics, myself included. So I'm of the opinion that people purposely misunderstand the Catholic Church so that they have a reason to hate the church instituted by Christ. It is the devil working through them. Pray for their conversion.

Phillips was found in contempt for allegedly using a racial slur "numerous times in court in a derisive manner." He was sentenced to three days in jail and fined $500. Both punishments were suspended with a written apology. Phillips has disputed the allegations, saying the slur was used during an evidentiary argument while objecting to testimony and language that had allegedly been introduced during trial proceedings, according to Click2Houston. Phillips says he apologized immediately.

@mattvanswol Fantastic accomplishment by 62 generous and talented people for families that live several states away who had lost their homes. Congratulations to the Amish who helped and donated and the owners of the new homes!

One of my favorite stories of all time is when 62 members of the Pennsylvania Amish came to Western North Carolina after Helene and built 12 tiny homes in under 48 hours. The total cost of the project was over $300,000. 100% of it was donated by the Amish community.
