Too many boomers have this really toxic assumption that young people are unable to afford a house because they’re lazy and don’t work hard. Most young people I know are working full time specialised jobs, having the majority of their salary swallowed by renting (despite it being a flatshare) taxes and cost of living. It’s almost impossible for young people nowadays, without the help of their family, to afford a house. And then they get blamed for having a Netflix subscription or getting the odd takeaway as if saving that £300 a year would let them afford a £20,000 deposit.

A boomer bought a house in 1978 for $58,000. Did nothing. Lived in it. Watched TV. Mowed the lawn. Sold it in 2022 for $620,000. That $562,000 didn't appear from nowhere. It came from every millennial and Gen Z buyer who had to pay what the market became. One generation's windfall is another generation's barrier to entry.

Boomers are the first generation to enter adulthood richer than their parents and leave their children poorer than themselves. In human history that has never happened before. They didn't build the American Dream. They borrowed against it. Gen Z is paying the mortgage.

Billionaires don’t have bank accounts like you and me. They have art collections,Yachts,Mansions,Stocks. None of it gets taxed until they sell it. So they just never sell it. They borrow against it instead. Live off the loans. Pay almost nothing. Then when they die, their kids inherit it all tax-free. The wealth never gets taxed, It just gets passed down. And we wonder why the gap keeps getting wider.

I hate this middle class virtue signalling Onanists. Nobody cares about their silly attention whoring or their white guilt but in the meantime some poor minimum wage worker just trying to earn a crust has to clear up after their tantrum. Entitled twats.

Let that sink in. £6,000 a year extra — handed to households where not a single adult works. 186,000 workless families benefit. £3.5 billion cost — paid for by: → Higher council tax (April 7) → Higher energy bills (April 7) → Stealth income tax increases hitting basic rate taxpayers by up to £700 Labour didn’t lift the two-child cap because it’s good policy. They lifted it because backbenchers threatened to revolt. Keir Starmer caved to his own party. And we’re paying for it.

Tomorrow the state is going to force us all to pay for other people to have children they can’t afford Meaning we cannot afford to have children ourselves This is the state of modern Britain - young people are forced to pay for other people to have the privileges they work for but can’t afford

"Disability benefits are hard to claim"... right... Between January 2019 & April 2025, no. of enhanced PIP claimants: Autism 26,256 → 114,211 Anxiety & Depression 23,647 → 110,075 ADHD 4,233 → 37,339 Some really questionable ones... Obesity 1,228 → 2,346 Sleep apnea 193 → 1,221 Tourettes 141→857 Acne 0 → 5 Food intolerance 0 → 31 Writers' cramp 0 → 6

Confidently wrong. Disability benefits(12%) are hard to claim by design, and they make up a far smaller share than pensions, which take ~55% of the bill. You’re aiming outrage at the wrong target. Facts trump your echo chamber.

⚠️ LABOUR'S HIDDEN TAX TRAP - If you earn £100 and pay £30 income tax you're left with £70 You then buy £70 of fuel & you pay 59% fuel duty & VAT (£41.46 of the £70 Which means the government actually just got £71.46 tax from your hard earned £100.00 NO WONDER PEOPLE CAN'T AFFORD TO LIVE IN THE U.K 🇬🇧

Not sure if Man U will let that Bristol City goalie out on loan again next season but if they do I hope the Blades are pushing our good relationship with them to get him in. He looks a quality keeper.
