What albums do you listen to when doing deep focus work? I always come back to Ronald Jenkees... and when it's really dire, the Man of Steel soundtrack.

Funny you say that... I am a MASSIVE fan of Crowded House. Neil Finn is one of my favorite songwriters of all-time. Check out this set... such an incredible catalogue. When I was 17 and bought my first guitar I learned guitar by learning all the Crowded House songs. Woodface + self-titled were on repeat for a long time. youtu.be/vVdIavNWCXY?si…

@ThatEricAlper Tears for Fears, Seeds of Love record, “Famous Last Words”. Simple and brilliant and so well performed. Older than most people reading this post but way ahead of its time.

Every great album needs a perfect ending. What is the single greatest closing track ever put on a record? The one that makes you sit in silence when it's done?

one of the worst things I've ever heard in my life, what a dark experience, I lost more than 2 hours of my life. whoever likes this album doesn't really listen to it, they just admire the idea.

@Tim_Burgess @LlSTENlNG_PARTY Hal supporting Brendan Benson at the now deceased Arches in Glasgow. They absolutely wiped the floor with him. Released one extraordinary album and then gave it all up. Could have been Ireland's Beach Boys.

Inspired by this great ep, what are the musts on game day at Murrayfield (besides a carrier full of 4 opened cans of Tennents)? Would add: - Roseburn (if you can face the queue) - Teuchters - Indigo Yard - and Fingers (obviously)

I've obtained the Robert Jenrick media plan, found by Team Badenoch and the pretext for his sacking It's very fun: refers to Jenrick as the 'new sheriff in town' and the 'the biggest defection story Reform has ever had' (Team Jenrick say it was written for him, not by him)

With only two professional teams the SRU can’t have one of them being a lame duck. Humiliated by Bath tonight. Genuinely terrible decision by Alex Williamson and David Nucifora to give Sean Everitt two more years. Staggering and lazy

A few years ago i went on a deep dive on curling. there is a ton of customs and ethics in the sport, like how you’re supposed to congratulate the other team on a good shot even when it screws you over, or how it’s considered bad form to celebrate too hard. but the most interesting thing is the stones themselves, where they come from, why they use them and how few left there are. Every single competition stone in the world comes from one of two places Ailsa Craig island off the coast of Scotland (for the blue hone granite) or a quarry in Wales called Trefor that supplies the green granite for the running surface. Ailsa Craig is this uninhabited, volcano-plugged rock in the Firth of Clyde that looks like it belongs in a fantasy movie, and for over a century they’ve been blasting massive chunks of this super-specific microgranite off it because it’s almost perfectly dense, has almost no porosity (so it doesn’t absorb water and explode when it freezes), and the crystals are arranged in just the right way to make the stone glide and curl predictably. They stopped major quarrying on Ailsa Craig in 2013 because the island is now a protected bird sanctuary (puffins and gannets everywhere), so the only company allowed to harvest it , Kays of Scotland . So basically has a lifetime license to go back every decade or so and take a tiny amount. They estimate there’s maybe enough high-quality stone left on the island for another 50–70 years at current usage, tops.

Good morning. I understand that frustration is setting in. Personally, I have never experienced a bear market in the treasury space. It’s not the nicest thing to deal with. But I have to say it again: zoom out. You have to do the work to understand what is going on. Many will like this post without actually reading it. So, as an experiment, I’m going to ask you to give me a 🤝 if you’ve read it. Doing the work is not difficult in @smarterwebuk. We have so many podcasts available. Unfortunately, when it comes to things like the next raise, @asjwebley and @Croesus_BTC can’t discuss these matters due to market rules. One thing they have told us is that it’s more difficult right now due to market conditions. To me, that’s just common sense. But look at what’s been achieved so far: over £200 million raised in just 5 months. That’s more money raised than the entire London Stock Exchange… let that sink in. The validity of the trips has also been questioned. Here’s my 2p worth: going to these conferences is vital for getting our name out there. If you listen to some of the videos from @TimKotzman’s unconference, you’ll hear many talking about great meetings with potential investors. Doing the work and listening to the recent podcasts, Jesse backed this up with @ourgoodlifeuk, mentioning they’d met with an investment bank and had a series of meetings with investors. Andrew confirmed the same in conversation with @Anders_. What part of these trips is not vital? I’m sure Andrew has countless calls with investors and potential investors, but if you were handing over millions, wouldn’t you want to meet the team face to face? Although they are down right now, look at the price action for Metaplanet. Yes, they had a couple of green days, but they’re still at rock bottom. The fact is, we are still well ahead of them time-wise compared to when they hit 2,500 BTC. I could rant on all day, but it’s Saturday and most won’t read this far. But please remember: you are in a volatile stock. Do the work. This team, with their visibility, make it easy. How many of the other companies you’ve invested in give this much communication? Have a great weekend, folks. I predict the price will stay the same over the weekend. 😎 Oh, and a big shout-out to @andysmith_asap. Thanks for supporting Andrew this week. Time away from your family is not easy, and we fully appreciate all that you do.

Why Smarter Web 🇬🇧 is the best <$500mil equity in the world. This one's for Wall Street and everyone else who wants to understand this Smarter opportunity: -It is the UK's premier Bitcoin Treasury company. It was the first to establish itself and has the most amount of Bitcoin on its balance sheet. -A Swiss-knife suite of capital raising tools. Private placings & Subscriptions, the Smarter ATM-facility, and Smarter Converts - A UK-first Bitcoin denominated convertible bond. -Smarter Web is building a reputation as the most shareholder friendly Bitcoin Treasury in the world. This has resulted in a vibrant community and loyal shareholder base. -The UK is ripe for Bitcoin backed fixed-income products. The FTSE 100 is famous for its high dividends, so the investor base is primed for such a product. It is also important to note that the distribution of fixed income products in the UK is much simpler in comparison the US. Smarter Pref's would do well here. -Index inclusion to the FTSE 250 and then the FTSE 100, is rules based, as opposed to the political process in the US for the S&P 500. This means Smarter Web could climb the ranks of the indexes relatively quickly. This allows for huge passive capital flows that create a perpetual buy pressure on the stock. -Bitcoin per share is increasingly rapidly. This means the company is succeeding in its mission to compound Bitcoin for shareholders. That is all. Fade at your peril. Feel free to Bookmark this post and come back to it in the future :)
