@JCChristopher Wish they would just add an option when navigating home that tells the car you want it to backup every time.

When Tesla FSD pulls straight into my driveway at home instead of backing like I prefer (so I can hook into my charger more easily), I noticed that if I just navigate to my home again it will back out, go forward a few yards, and then reverse in like I want it to. Apologies if everyone knew this expect for me. Wouldn’t be the first time and won’t be the last. Just thought it was a nice touch from FSD.

@wholemars Useless stats as currently you can only do this if you are willing to live with its mistakes.

@cosmin_tocaciu @tesla_na Im paying more for my model Y compared to my previous car (VW Tiguan) and almost nullifies what I save in gas but it is so worth it.

@tesla_na Curious about the insurance...what are Tesla drivers paying in average monthly? savings on gas, maintenence and repairs, safety checked but is the insurance going to offset all the savings?

FSD Supervised costs less than many people pay for gas per month

@niccruzpatane Any discussion about gas savings have to include cost of insurance. For me, higher insurance costs nullifies the savings. But it’s still worth it.

"But you aren’t counting the extra $99/mo for FSD.” By switching to a Tesla, you will probably save in excess of $99/mo in fuel. It’s worth every penny.

@MattWallaceTech I own a Tesla. Every discussion on savings over Ice cars need to include cost of insurance.

Got a quote for Tesla Insurance and I was shocked how high it was. Over $272 while I pay less than $150 with my current carrier is a huge difference.

FSD v14.3.3 parked the wrong way and hit the curb when it was backing up. I’ve never ever had FSD back up this far during a destination park… it only stopped after I hit the brake once we hit the curb.

@SawyerMerritt Mine will reset everyday coz FSD can’t figure out how to enter our community gate. Still keeps going through the guest lane.

Well this is new. FSD V14.3.3 has a live counter right on the main screen that shows how many miles you’ve driven on FSD since your last intervention. It resets back to zero when you disengage (shown below):

@thedooberhead There’s a spot .3 miles to the entrance of our community. Everytime my car gets to that point it moves 2 lanes to the left then sometimes unable to get back to the right line to make the right turn. Super annoying.

@LamarMK Whatever savings I get almost gets nullified by higher insurance costs. But it’s still worth it. Not having to do oil change, home charging, FSD, it’s so worth it.

Would you rather spend $80 on gas every week or around $60 on your electric bill to charge your Tesla at home for the entire month? That is the part so many people overlook. Home charging can save you a lot of money, and the convenience is even better. Get home, plug in, wake up ready. No gas station stops. No waiting around. Just drive and enjoy the car. Tesla owners, how much are you saving every month since switching?
